(trying new POV for this)

'11:57 pm,'  I thought in my head, looking at my watch. I stared up at the building that towers before me. Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria. I brushed some hair out of my face, sighing. The nightly air was soft and gentle, brushing my face with a cold touch. I shivered and reached for my keys that opened the pizzeria. I was the new nightguard, and tonight was my first shift. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous.

Unlocking the doors, I stepped inside and made my way into the office. It looked old and dirty. Kids drawings and posters adorned the wall and in front of me was a desk. Some old monitors were placed on top along with my camera tablet and a fan.

'Weird how that fan was already turned on. . .' My conscious echoed inside my head. I sighed and settled in my chair. I looked around a bit before my eyes landed on the camera monitor. I picked it up; it was old and dusty. The screen was glitchy and the back of it's delicate frame was a little sticky from the uncleaned table. I turned it on and scanned it; multiple cameras placed around this old facility that probably wasn't even worth stealing from.

I decided to take a look at the three animatronics on stage; Chica the chicken, Bonnie the bunny, and the lead singer Freddy the bear. I smiled fondly, reminiscing of my childhood memories here. I switched the tab to look at Pirate's Cove. Foxy! I couldn't see behind the curtain, but Foxy was always my favourite. It is why I still wear so much merchandise with him on it.

Currently I was wearing a black T-shirt with a cartoon-like Foxy on the front under my security shirt. I wouldn't lie, I wore a bandana under my hat, too.

I stared off into space for a bit, silently thinking of my encounters when I was here as a kid. I absolutely adored the staff, especially (insert nightguard of your choice), but as for the animatronics, Foxy was that one special pirate who stole my child heart. I loved the others, too, don't get me wrong, but the torn pirate was better than them all.

I snapped back into reality when something on the camera monitor caught my eye. I looked, and Pirate Cove's curtain was slightly ajar. I sat, confused, before thoughts began racing through my mind. Was there an intruder? Wind? A rat running through? My heartbeat quickened and dread filled the pit of my stomach. I flipped to another tab and looked at the dining room. My jaw dropped.

Bonnie -the guitarist- was standing in the rows between the table. How the hell did he get there? Was he left... on? If that's even the right word. He was looking straight at the camera before he began walking. I panicked, not entirely sure what to do. The employer said they tend to roam at the night, so I shouldn't worry, but that does not calm my nervousness. I tried to ignore Bonnie and instead checked on the stage.

Chica was not in her place, and Freddy seemed to still be shut down. I flipped through all the cameras and didn't find her. I flipped the tab past Pirate's Cove before immediately turning back to it. The- the curtain was pulled back all the way now. I once again looked at all the cameras and panicked even more. The fox was sprinting down the hall!

I scrambled off the chair and tried to shut the left door, missing the button several times and instead hitting the light switch on and off. I was shoved back by a screeching Foxy running into the security room. I fell back on my rear and shrieked, my nightwatch hat falling off my head. I instinctively covered my face with my arms.

I waited, and waited,  yet nothing happened. I slowly, hesitantly lowered my arms. Foxy loomed over me, that golden orb staring me down. I froze, fear and curiosity showing on my face and in my eyes. My heart drummed in my chest and I could barely keep up with my thoughts. Was this supposed to happen? Why is Foxy here? Why did he jump at me?

The pirate proceeded to lower his hand to me. I flinched, thinking he was going to hurt me, but instead he waited. I swallowed hard, confused by the action. I cautiously placed one of my much smaller hands in his and once I did, he grasped it and hoisted me up. I squeaked, easily being pulled off the floor and onto my feet. Foxy squatted down and took a close look at my torso. I backed up a little, still very confused.

The fox stood up and strode past me, bending over to grab my cap. He then proceeded to place a hand on my head, staring me down before putting my cap on my head. I heard a crack in his chest, a noise that usually means the voicebox is working.

Foxy huffed out the words, "'87," (or was it '83?). My eyes widened; a child had gotten bit by Foxy way back then and got his frontal lobe torn off. I began to panic again, turning tail and beginning to run out the other door. I was stopped, however, when Foxy grabbed my arm and forced me to stay in the office with him.

"I remember ye, from when ye was jus' a lil lassie," he spoke brokenly. His voice sounded like someone's voice when they are on the verge of crying. I turned back to him, mumbling out his name softly.

"Yer name is (name). Ya used to come 'n' see meself all the time." The fox told me, and I listened, fear still taking strong in my head but curiosity getting the best of me. When I relaxed my posture, Foxy let go of my arm. He then motioned towards my shirt of him, and then the bandana under my cap. "I see meself on yer clothing 'n' I suspect I still be yer favourite?"

When I nodded, albeit slowly, Foxy pulled me into a tight hug, although not too tight so he doesn't accidentally crush me. I felt him pull away and he placed his nose on my forehead. I flinched again, fear still getting to me.

"Please, quit yer job or switch to day shift, lassie. Ye will get murdered here at night. Ye saw how Bonnie was movin' around, and with Chica. Day shift ye can't get hurt, and I will see ye a lot more often." Foxy informed me, and for some reason I didn't doubt his words. "Now run, lassie."

I stumbled back when he shoved me off of him, letting out a yelp. I looked up at him and he stared back with a pained looked, but something was . . . different. His eyepatch was lifted up and instead of his golden eyes, they were coloured black with small white pupils in them.

I gasped and screamed when he began to briskly walk towards me, and to me it seemed the Foxy I know was still fighting whatever was taking hold of him. I took it as my queue to leave, so I turned and ran right out the other door. I saw Bonnie and Chica, and even Freddy, standing in various places on my way to the exit. I didn't have the time to think, but I heard the sound of pounding metal behind me.

I glanced back and saw it was Foxy sprinting towards me, screeching as wildly as ever. I screamed loudly myself, bolting towards the exit and running outside. I ran straight across the street, not bothering to look for cars. I stopped once on the other side, panting heavily as adrenaline coursed through my veins. I looked over at the pizzeria and saw Foxy staring at me from inside behind the doors.

I gulped, nervous he was going to sprint out and chase after me some more but he didn't. From afar I could see him twitch and spasm viciously, his eyes still black and white. I heard him screeching louder and louder, and at times it sounded like a kid. It scared me to even look at him in this state so I turned away and speed walked away from the building towards my home. I'll come back in the morning if I feel well enough to return my keys and ask to be transferred to day shift.

Foxy's screeching died out the further I got, but it still echoed on and on in my head. The way his body was moving, and the way it seemed like he had the intent to kill. It will give me nightmares. I sighed and continued walking, keeping my head low as I walked back towards my humble abode. That damned fox.
