"You eat funny do you know that?" Legend smirks and watch me bite into the pizza. After we left Sky Zone he offered to take me wherever I wanted so I decided on the Pizza Palace. "Your face funny looking did you know that?" I ask him with a blank face and he laughs while I chew on a pepperoni. "But I can still get girls all day yeah?" He smiles goofily and I roll my eyes and laugh.
Legend is a chill laid back person but I know not to let my guard down because I refuse to give up my goods especially when I'm only thirteen.
"You do a lot of spacing out you know that yeah?"Legend raise a eyebrow and I nod. "Yeah force of habit." He nods and take a sip of his water. "Can I ask you something?" I look at him then down at my fingers. His silence indicated he's listening.
"Why are you really here? Like with me and taking me places am I that weird it's brought pity to everyone?" He frowns. "What?? No you seem cool as hell and you told me some shit that I am hurt about but it is what it is I appreciate you telling me and like I said you chill so I see no harm in chilling with you and get to know you." I nod taking his words in, I eat the remaining of my pizza.
"And quit saying you weird you just do weird shit like staring at people until they make contact with you." He brush his hands through his hair. I like his hair. "Can I touch your hair?" I randomly ask after a minute of silence and he raised a perfectly arched eyebrow. "See you do weird shit." He laughs and bend over anyway as I run a hand through his hair and smile.
We got to know each other more and I was fascinated with him. He loved basketball but he didn't see himself playing in the future he said he wanted to be bigger and better. He also sings and used to draw as well but stopped because he got more into other things and had no time to draw anymore.
The waiter came with the bill and we gathered our things and head to the entrance to pay. "Hope you enjoyed your dinner bill please?" The man asks and Legend hands it to him. "Thank you sir your total is thirteen twenty." He smile politely at Legend. I watch Legend pull out his wallet and he scrunch up his face he hesitated for a minute and I watch him clench his jaw before pulling out a twenty. "Keep the change." I raise a eyebrow and Legend take my hand as we exit.
When we finally were seated inside his car I couldn't help the question. "Legend are you not good in math?" He frowns and look at me. "What?" He demanded and squint his eyes at me. I swallow remember few seconds ago.
"You had the exact change but instead you grabbed a whole twenty.. it's fine if you have a learning disability-" "You calling me dumb!?" He snaps and tighten his grip around the steering wheel making his knuckles turn white. and I grew scared. "N-no no I'm just saying I noticed you back inside and you look to be struggling-" I cut my words off as he glared at me. I didn't mean to make him mad or feel less of himself nor dumb and now he was mad at me and calling me name but it's fine I'm used to it.
