I unlocked the door to my house. I need to feed my Golden Retriever, Daisy May.
"Do you have any food?" My best friend asks.
"It's in the kitchen dummy." I laugh.
"Yum, food." Noah mutters going into my families large kitchen.
I roll my eyes and head upstairs to my room. The bright aqua walls have pictures I took in the summer and all the seasons. Some are of nature, but almost all of them are just me, just Noah, or both of us. In all the pictures, we're happy. His frosty blue eyes shine with laughter, my green ones with joy.
"Daisy, come here baby!" I call.
My room is huge, a king size bed in the middle with four posts with aqua curtains and bedspread. My floor is light gold wood, my deep walk in closet is next to my huge bathroom, both painted aquamarine, of course. My Mac, iPad, Nook and iPod sit on top of my dressed.
I hear a tiny bark under my bed.
"Hey baby." I coo, gently pulling her out from under my bed. I laugh when she knocks my glasses off my face.
"You look much better without those glasses, Dreamer." Says a voice behind me. Noah.
I stick my tongue out at him.
"I like them."
"You don't need them, Princess." He says picking them up off the floor and setting them on my nightstand.
"I kinda do Noah."
"Nah." He says, falling on my neatly made bed.
"Hey that's mine!" I yell, getting up and trying to push him off.
He hugs one of my pillows. "Come here."
I lay down beside him and he holds up his pinky. I intertwine my pinky with his.
"Best--" Noah starts.
"Friends--" I continue.
"Forever." He finishes. "You'll always be my best friend, Dreamer. No matter what happens, I love you."
"You'll always be mine, I love you too Noah." I smile and smack him with a pillow.
"What the he--!" He starts but can't finish when I smack him in the face with another pillow.
I jump off my bed but am pulled back when Noah grips my wrist."
"No! You won't take me alive!" I scream, laughing.
"I won't lose the greatest girl on this planet, also known as my best friend, Dreamer Carlson!" He yells above my screaming and our laughing.
"Hey! Stop!" I scream when he starts tickling me.
"Then promise me we can have a sleepover in our little cottage on the beach!"
"Fine I promise!" I take deep breaths to fill my lungs again.
Our little cottage is our own little house on the beach. We practically live there. It has everything we need, extra clothes, food, water, electricity, beds, everything. It's our safe haven.
"Let's go then!" Noah exclaims.
"Okay okay!" I say, scooping a cup of Blue Wilderness Puppy Chow into Daisy May's food dish and refilling her water dish in the bathroom.
"Okay let's go, lead the way Noah." I say.
"As you wish, Princess." He says, taking my hand and leading me out of the house to our cottage where we will spend our Friday night.
