vikk looked up at the forty foot tall oak tree, and he wondered what the world would look like from all the way up there. he's eyes scanned around the park. 'maybe no one would see' vikk thought.
he had never felt so alone.
he had no friends.
he had only one person to care for him, and he was barely there for him.
he had no one.
he kept thinking how the world would look different from all the way up there.
he wanted to find out.
vikk moved his arm up to the closest branch and pulled himself up. he used his other arm to bring himself up to the next branch, using his feet to support him from the bottom of the tree.
he began to climb higher and higher, even when it seemed impossible to find a grip on a tree branch, he kept going.
he kept his head looking up, he could see the blinding sunlight peaking through the leaves and branches. he kept going.
he kept going until he saw the sun.
vikk hadn't noticed how far up the ground he was. he finally looked down and realized he was already thirty feet off the ground. he could feel the sun's rays shine on his face.
then he suddenly...let go.
he let go of the branch.
he laid on the ground.
he felt his arm go numb.
he looked around, hoping that someone would come to get him.
no one came.
he waited there, laying on the ground with a broken arm. there was still hope for him that someone would come to get him.
no one noticed.
vikk could feel the tears stream down his face. he tried to get up but he only fell back on the ground when the pain hit. the boy couldn't even yell out, only his sobs came out. eventually he stood up and carefully held his other arm. he started walking slowly.
he didn't get to see if the world looked different from all the way up there.
