Plans at Pop's

Betty's POV

"Okay guys, I'm bored out of my mind, what are we going to do?" Veronica said.

It was 9:00 pm and the very start of summer vacation. Jughead, Archie, Veronica, and I were sitting in our usual booth at Pop's trying to decide what to do. My parents were out on a trip to a writer's convention, so I felt free, like I could do anything tonight without the consequences.

"Night swimming sounds fun," Archie said with a shrug.

"Arch you come up with the best ideas," Veronica said kissing him on the cheek.

"What do you guys think?", Veronica said looking at my boyfriend, Jughead and I.

I glanced over at Jughead, with a smile.

"I'm game," I say.

"I would be totally in, but no one here has a pool," Jughead says.

"Well, silly, leave it up to Veronica Lodge and her charm to find us somewhere to go," Veronica says with a wink.

"Wait you don't mean breaking into somewhere, right, because no swimming place is open this late besides Sweetwater River and I don't think anyone wants to swim there," I say remembering Jason's death.

"Motel swimming pools are easy, I've learned things in New York," Veronica says with a smirk.

"Well if we're going to go, we should go now so we have time to get our swimsuits," Archie chimes in.

"I'm sure your parents won't let you leave the house again when you enter to get your swimsuits if they find out what you're doing," Jughead says.

"Fine, lets all just head to Target and buy new ones," Veronica says.

We paid Pop Tate and took Archie's car to Target. The whole way there I rested my head on Jughead's lap while he played with my hair. I love him so much.

"We're here guys" Archie says while he and Veronica exited the car. We all walked into Target, Veronica and I went to the Women's section to find our swimsuits, and Jughead and Archie went to the Men's section to find their bathing suits.

"Okay, you and Jughead are literally couple goals" Veronica says as soon as we got to the swimsuit section, "I mean like you guys must really be in love, you guys are so good to each other".

"Aw thanks V", I say back, "So are you and Archie, he'd take a bullet for you and he always talks about how amazing you are".

"Omg Betty, look. at. this." Veronica says while holding up a black one piece with a v-neck that goes down to just above your belly button, and had cuts down the back and on the sides.

"Damn V, that's adorable" I say.

Veronica smiles and rolls her eyes back at me.

"We need to find you one now that you will like, and Jughead" Veronica says with a smirk.

"How about this one," I say holding up a pale pink bikini that had criss cross in the back and mesh on the cups with a strip of the swim suit over the mesh. The bottoms were the same color and had cut outs in the sides with a thin line on the top and the bottom that held the front and the back piece together.

"Betty, that swimsuit is going to look fabulous on you. You need to get it," Veronica says while holding the top up to admire it more.

"Okay," I say with a smile as we go try to them on.

"Mine fits great," I call to Veronica who was in the dressing room next to me.

"Same here, I'm going to get it," I hear Veronica say back.

We meet up with the boys at the self checkout. I see Jughead got a pair of black swim trunks that had two thin white line on each side. Archie got royal blue swim bottoms with black on the hem of the bottom and top.

"Okay guys let's go change in the bathroom" Veronica says.

We go ask the elderly store clerk if we can showing her our receipts and she nodded in approval. We all come out at about the same time. I walk over to Jughead, I see his eyes scanning me up and down.

"You look amazing."he says tucking my hair behind my ear.

We all head out to the car and set out to Riverdale's very own Soul Motel.

(Okay so what do you guys think? It's really bad considering it's like my first one that I actually put true effort into to try and make it good I guess. Also it's my first Riverdale one, my other ones were when I had my tragic obsession with these two people, we'll keep it at that.)
