Harry is 17 years old and has transferred schools due to his mum getting a promotion. He is deaf and doesn't understand how to read lips, he can only communicate with sign language.
Niall who is 18 becomes his signed interpreter and also stands up for him when someone says something bad about him; especially since Harry doesn't know what they said.
But as long as they have each other they'll be alright, even if something or someone else comes along.
