NIALL'S POV
I walked down the school halls with Harry, holding his hand tightly so he doesn't wander off. There were plenty of people in the school, and I knew if I let go he'd get lost in the sea of people.
I kept him close to me; sometimes he'd tug on my hand so he could read what a poster would say. We had about 20 minutes till class started so I was just showing him more of the school that he hasn't seen.
I quickly pulled Harry even closer to me if that was possible as I saw a few jocks walk by; their just huge bullies and go after people weaker than them, they've never bullied me before as I've been apart of them but I know they would go after Harry if given the chance, and that's just not right at all.
It's so weird though, because once I was one of them. I was their friend once; the leader of the group, Christian has been my best friend since we were in year 6. But put a soft deaf boy next to me and suddenly I become protective over him and he becomes more important than any of them; especially Christian.
I could feel their daggers being etched onto my back; I was about to pull Harry as far away from here as possible till he started tugging on my hand because there was a sign up sheet for some kind of club; I just let go and watched from afar as he went to go look at what the club was. That when I noticed Christian going towards him; I started inching my way to Harry, but it was way too late.
Christian shoved Harry, and he fell; a bit spooked. I ran over to them immediately and pulled Harry off the ground; "Come on." I signed.
"I thought you were better than that Niall." Christian remarked; I just rolled my eyes at him as I made sure Harry wasn't hurt and dragged him to science class as quickly as possible.
