The Pines Twins

     "Ghost Harrasers will return after these short messages." Blared the small Panasonic TV. "Are you miserable?" Asked a slightly southern man in the commercial. " Yes. " Sobbed another man. "Then you need to see the Pines twins at the tent of telepathy." Said the first man. " But they're not just any twins, they're psychic ones, so don't waste your time with other so-called men of mystery" The commercial showed Uncle Bud showing off one of his exhibits, the sas-crotch. "Come learn about tomorrow tonight at the Pines twins tent of telepathy." "I think we should go check it out." Said Gideon. "Great!" Uncle Bud said walking into the living room and hanging up his. coat. "We need to go scope out the competition, ever since those Pines twins came into town I've had nothing but horrible sales."

      "Step right up and put your money in the sack." Said a guy holding out a blue sack with a star, each spike colored differently and an eye on the middle. Uncle Bud dropped a 5 dollar bill and a 1 dollar bill in the sack. "Woah, this is like a cooler version of the Mystery Shack, they even have their own Deuce." Gideon said. a man with a cart wheeled by, his name tag read Soos. " Shhh, it's starting! " I said. "Welcome." Said A slightly southern voice, clearly male. "One and all." Said another sort of southern voice, this time female. "To the Tent of Telepathy." They said it unison. The curtain pulled back revealing a girl and boy, about our age, maybe older. The boy had dark brown hair swept to the side, light turquoise eyes and he had a bored expression on his face. He was wearing black pants with a black dress shirt and blue vest, matching his eyes, and a black ruffley tie wrapped around his coller with a dark blue stone on it. His sister was wearing a black dress shirt with a black ribbon tied around the coller in a loose bow and a blue long sleeved jacket with black gloves and a black skirt. She had dark brown hair too, but long, with the same light turquoise eyes. On her head she was wearing a blue headband with another dark blue stone. "My name's Mabel, and this is my brother, Dipper." Said the girl, Mabel. (Insert song here, idk, I don't write songs)

 After the show everyone filed out. "That was pretty cool." Said Gideon. "You're too easily impressed." I said. "Yeah, yeah." He laughed.

Gideons P.O.V.

     I frantically mashed buttons, at this point I wasn't even trying any combos, I just needed win, the current score was 9-9 in our race to 10. "And... yes!" Pacifica yelled. My screen flashed with the words DEFEATED whilst hers flashed YOU WON! " Aww...c'mon. " I said as I handed her the Butterfinger. The doorbell rang. "I'll get it." I said and opened the door. Standing in the doorway was Mabel Pines.
"Oh, it's you, from the Tent of Telepathy." I said. " Yeah. " She said. " So... I was wondering if you wanted to go hang out with me with me?" " Sure. " I said. "Who's at the door?" Yelled Dad. "No one!" I yelled back. " I appreciate your discretion. " Mabel said. "No problem." I replied. "So...shall we?" She said back. "Okay." I replied.
     We sat on the cold factory roof. "Y'know, I've never felt this close to anyone." Mabel said. Oh no, I thought. I hope this isn't going where I think it's going." I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go on a date. " dang. I thought.  "Listen, Mabel, I like you, but let's just be friends." I said back. "Oh, just give me a chance, it'll just be one date, I swear." " Okay. " I said reluctantly.
     "You're going on a date!" Pacifica said in disbelief. "With the most popular girl in town!" "It's not a date
date. It's just...y'know I didn't want to hurt her feelings." I said. "This is going to be a big thing! I wonder what the ship name will be?" Pacifica ranted on, ignoring me. The doorbell rang. "Probably her." I said, rushing to the door and opening it. There stood Mabel. She was wearing a blue dress with black leggings and black high heels with red lipstick and sparkly blue eyeshadow. A black limousine was parked in the parking lot. "Shall we?" She said holding out her hand. "Oh boy." I whispered under my breath.
