Chapter 9

               (October 2,1989)
Lexie laid in the bed as she was awoken by something that smelled good.Her wrists were killing her due to the fact she only had them both tied together on one post."Good morning my beautiful..."Gavin spoke as he walked into the room with a smile on his face.Lexie looked at him as he walked in."I made you some breakfast..."He said as he kneeled down near her & stroked her face."What did you make?It smells good..."She asked."Bacon,pancakes & some coffee."He replied."I am pretty hungry...Thank you..."Lexie said.She truly couldn't believe she was thanking her kidnapper.Gavin smiled as he then saw her wrists were still tied together."Oh,I'm sorry,sweetie.Your wrists must be killing you by now..."He said as he then untied them.After he finished untying her wrists,she slowly sat up in the bed as he gently rubbed her wrists."We'll put a little cream on them later...I'm sorry you needed to sleep in those same clothes last night.I promise though,when I go by your apartment today,I'll get you your sleepwear."He said as he then stroked a lock of hair behind her ear.She nodded her head in response.He then got back on his feet & grabbed Lexie's hand."Let's go eat my lovely..."He said.She then slowly got up from the bed & followed him out the bedroom.

Lexie was sitting at a tiny table that was placed in the kitchen as she began eating some pancakes & bacon."You know,Lexie...I know how to cook really good food.Ofcourse,that lasagna you made the other night was absolutely delicious.But,I think tonight you deserve a break from cooking.I can cook my famous chicken broccoli for dinner."Gavin said as he was preparing another pot of coffee.She didn't really pay much attention to him as she jotted down the food on her plate & drank a sip of coffee from the mug."What time are you planning to go to my place?"She asked."Probably after we eat...I would take you but,I'm afraid you'll probably try something."He said as he sat across from Lexie & began eating."Please take me...I don't want to be here alone."She chimed in.He slightly looked at her with suspicion."Can I trust to take you?"He asked.She nodded her head."I won't try anything..."She spoke.Gavin then smiled at her as he then began eating himself.

After breakfast,Lexie sat on the bed as Gavin finished tying her wrists together.He then went into the bathroom & secretly got a bottle with chloroform in it & a rag to take with him just in case Lexie acted out."Are you ready,sweetie?"Gavin asked as he walked out the bathroom.Lexie nodded as he proceeded to help her walk out the house.

The two drove in dead silence for about 20 minutes.Lexie was surprised to see he lived out in the middle of nowhere.She probably figured this wasn't his first time doing anything like this.Before she knew it,they pulled into the parking lot of the complex as Gavin parked in a empty spot."Ok Lex,you gotta do something...This may be your only chance of getting away from this bastard..."Lexie said inside her head."Ok,sweetie.I'll be back in a few."Gavin said as he unbuckled his seatbelt & opened the driver side door."Wait!Can I please go in with you?"Lexie asked.He looked at her as he was getting ready to get out the car."Why?"He asked."Well...Maybe I can help you pick out clothes..."Lexie responded,trying to put together an excuse.Gavin sighed."Look...I'm getting all of your clothes...You won't need to come in with me...Now,be a good little girl while I'm gone..."Gavin said as he then exited the car & shut the door back,locking every single door in the car as he walked away.Lexie then began trying to get her wrists untied.

Gavin entered inside Lexie's apartment as he spotted the dress he bought her still laying on the couch.He smirked as he then picked it up & carefully folded it together & proceeded to walk into her bedroom.He searched her closet for a suitcase & found a white one.He took it out as he placed it on the bed & began stuffing her clothes in it,even the dress he bought her.He then went into her bathroom & grabbed her toothbrush,toothpaste & even a box of menstrual pads she had & put those in the suitcase as well.After he finished getting her stuff,he zipped up the suitcase & quickly rushed out the apartment with it.

Once he reached the end of the staircase,he finally found himself on the pavement of the parking lot as he began walking towards his car.Once he came into view,he had seen the passenger side door was open.His eyes widened in shock as he ran over to his car & saw Lexie gone.He then quickly unlocked the backseat door & threw her suitcase in the back & began looking for Lexie."LEXIE?!WHERE ARE YOU?!"He yelled in a fit of rage as he began searching for her.

After Lexie managed to get her wrists untied & unlocked the passenger side door,she ran behind the apartment complex where her landlord's hangout was."Mr.Sullivan!"She yelled as she saw him in sight.He was checking out the back of the complex as he smoked a cigar.His attention was then caught by a scared Lexie."Miss Brookes?What's the matter,dear?"He asked as he rushed towards her.She then caught her breathe as she began explaining what was going on."Last night,my classmate kidnapped me from my apartment & he has been stalking me!I need you to help me!"Lexie said as she cried uncontrollably."Ok sweetie,let's go back to my office & we-."He spoke before being cut off by a gunshot.Lexie then saw a red hole in the middle of her landlord's forehead as he collapsed on the ground,dead.She screamed as she then turned around & saw Gavin,pointing a gun in her directions as his face was full of anger."LEXIE! DON'T YOU DARE MOVE OR I'LL KILL YOU!"He yelled as he kept the gun pointed at her."Gavin...Please..."Lexie spoke as she cried.He then slowly walked towards her as he kept the gun pointed at her."SEE WHAT YOU MADE ME DO?!"He yelled as he then grabbed Lexie's arm & put the gun away.She began to struggle & scream as she continued to fight for her freedom.He then wrapped his free arm around her throat to keep a hold of her as he  quickly pulled out the bottle of chloroform & rag & poured a little bit of chloroform on the rag & proceeded to put it over her nose.After about a couple seconds,she then passed out.He then proceeded to put the bottle & rag back in his back pockets & drug her back to the car.
