I walked through the doors of the high school with my head held high. It's my senior year, my last chance to change. And I've changed alright. Over the summer I got a new wardrobe, new personality, and a new attitude. I wasn't just a pretty face anymore. I am no longer flawless. I now feed of my imperfection.

Once I stepped into the school, all eyes were on me. Some were filled with lust, others were filled with confusion. I ignored all the faces and walked straight to my locker. I opened it and immediately put my book bag inside. I also took out a couple of my books, until I noticed someone approach me out of the corner of my eye.

"Jenna? Wow, when you said you were gonna change, I really didn't take you literally," the person stated. Familiarizing myself with the voice, I realized that it was my friend Brooklyn.

"Well, I am a woman of my word," I replied. She smiled and then looked at my choice of clothing. I was wearing a see-through green shirt, with a black tank top underneath, black skinny jeans, and Chuck Taylor's. The old me would of never worn something like this. "Oh, I have an all new wardrobe," I said when I realized she was staring at my outfit, "you like?" I asked. I did a small turn so she could get an close look. She then nodded her in approval.

She opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by the intercom. "All seniors to the cafeteria, for I have something I would like to address." Our principal announced over the intercom.

Everyone then began ton make their way to the cafeteria. Brooklyn and I soon followed. We entered the cafeteria, and my eyes immediately landed on him. Penn.

He noticed this, and waved at me while smiling. I smiled back and continued to walk with Brooklyn until I found an empty seat. I sat down as she sat across from me. I was perfectly fine until the devil himself sat down next to me. Luke.

He smirks at me while I stare off into the distance. "Long time no see, huh, Jenna?" he asks. I refuse to look at him and I continue to stare off into the distance. "How have you been, without me. Seeing as you broke up with me through text," he questioned adding emphasis to the last word. I didn't reply, and I can tell he wasn't taking this well because I could feel him tensing up. He grabbed my arm with great force and tugged on it. "Answer me!" he demanded.

"Luke, stop!" Brooklyn pleaded. He ignored her though, still gripping my arm painfully. I still said nothing. Heck, there wasn't much to say. This is the reason I dumped him. I even remember the last time I was in a situation like this with Luke.

"What happened that night is between you and me, you can't go around telling people!" Luke informs me. Excuse me! This guy cannot be serious.

"Well you should've thought about that before you hit me," I say with slight attitude. I then try to walk away, but Luke forcefully grabs my wrist and pulls me back to my previous position.

"Don't you walk away from me, Jenna," Luke tells me, "The conversation ends when I say it ends."

"I want to break up," I say boldly. He laughs and then looks away. When he looks back at me, I can see the anger in his eyes. He takes a step closer. Wanting to keep a distance, I take a step back. He immediately follows and takes another step forward, mocking me. I continue to take steps back, as he follows, until my back collides with a wall. Dead-end.

Luke then leans down to my height and whispers in my ear, "Now I know you don't want that." He chuckles and then smirks at me. Luke then does something despicable. He kisses my lips, and then surprisingly gently strokes the scar on my cheek with his finger. And with that he was off, walking away leaving me standing there, alone and confused.

Hence, why I dumped him over text, during the summer all the way in New York, knowing he couldn't get to me.

I looked at his grip on my arm, then at him. "Let. Go. Of. Me." I said through gritted teeth.

Our tense situation was thankfully interrupted when our principal climbed on the table and began to talk about 'how seniors should behave and set an example'. I couldn't concentrate though, seeing as it is like 100 degrees in here! I looked around the lunchroom, eyeing the rest of the students. It didn't take long to realize I was not alone. Other students were fanning and blowing themselves hoping to catch some breeze. I sighed then smirked once a bright idea hit me.

I then looked at the principal, and smiled. "Aye yo, Principal Trinton, can you turn up the AC, by chance?" I interrupted. She glared at me, upset over her interruption.

"Excuse me, I suggest if you dress a little lighter if you don't feel comfortable," she replied. I then looked next to her and notice just the guy I was looking for. Axel. He was raising his eyebrows, waiting to see what I was going to say next. He caught me looking at him, and then sucked in his bottom lip.

I smirked at him, and then got up on the table. "You mean like this?" I then took off my shirt, exposing me in my bra. The reactions were a mix of whistles and laughs and ooh's. I smiled then turned my attention to Axel, and winked at him. He stared back at me with his mesmerizing blue eyes.

"Settle down! Ms. Price, I don't know what has gotten into you but I suggest you control it before I take drastic actions. Now get off the table," Principal Trinton warned.

"Just asking," I mumbled as I got off the table. As I sat down, Luke then got close to me. "Look whatever you're trying to prove, whatever you're trying to do, don't," he warned.

I scoffed at this. "You don't tell me what to do. You see this-," I pointed at my scar on my left cheek,"you did this to me. So quit acting like you care cause you don't." I tell him. His face softens. And he leans away from me. He then gets up and walks to another part of the cafeteria. I even remember what happened that night he hit me too.

Hand in hand, Luke and I are walking across the park. We smile at each other, and then our eyes averted to what was in front of us. The beautiful night moon shining bright like a diamond.

The moment is broken when my phone vibrates. I take it out of my pocket and read what it says.

'We need to talk.' It was Penn.

'Okay.' I reply.

Luke suddenly stops walking and moves to stand in front of me.

"Who was that?" he questions me. His face is straight and stern and looks sort of angered. This surprises me.

"Oh, nobody," I lie. I can tell he wasn't buying my excuse.

"Don't lie to me, Jenna. Who were you texting?" he questions again. He reaches for my phone but I held it to my chest, out of his grasp.

"I said no one, Luke!" I raise my voice. He reaches for my phone again but this time rougher. A lot rougher. I try to keep it out of his reach but he continues to grab for my phone which was held tightly against my chest. The more I squatted his hands away, the more he kept trying.

"Stop, Luke!" I finally say. He looks at me grimly.

"What are you hiding from me, Jenna, huh?" he taunts me almost as if it were a game. He continues to try to take my phone from me until the palm of my right hand collided with his left cheek. This was no small gesture, this was one hard slap. He stopped trying to reach for my phone and began to massage his throbbing cheek. When he turned to look at me I was scared to death. His beautiful brown eyes turned into lethal reddish fireballs. What do I do? Do I run? I was taken out of my thoughts when a sudden painful stinging sensation made contact with my left cheek. He slapped me! Not only did this take me by surprise but it took me down to my knees. Because of those, my phone was on the ground. Luke picked it up and saw the one word that made him go ballistic. Penn. He threw my phone all the way across the park to where I couldn't even see it land. When I turn back to Luke, e was already gone. I sat there by myself holding my left cheek in agony. Looking at the sky in pain.

Just thinking about makes me angry. Before I knew it everyone was getting up and starting to leave. I stood up, and then noticed that Brooklyn was gone. I sighed and walked towards the exit. I then bumped into Axel. I smiled and he then winked at me.

"That's a nice stunt you pulled there," he complimented.

"Thanks," I say boldly. He nods and then looks away as we reach the door.

"So I'll see you around," he says finally. I nod and then head down the opposite way. I can feel his eyes still on me, which caused me to smirk.
