  I laid in bed crying.

Sobbing until I couldn't breathe. My chest hurt and my eyes stung, as tears dripped all the way down to my neck from my chin I stared at the mildew ceiling.

My hand was over my mouth to keep me from making any loud noises while the captain was out of the room.

I can't believe this is happening to me. I was just living a perfect life, a beautiful day, having a nice dinner with my family, not knowing it would be our last together.

The door burst open then swung shut as the captain stumbled into the room. I gasped and glanced at his wobbly body that made its way over to me.
The stench of alcohol flood into the air almost in an instant.

"Love, why are you crying." He slurred, falling onto the bed while looking at me.
"I-I'm not." I whimpered out as he sighed heavily.
"Obviously you were." He grumbled pointing to the tears down my face. My mascara was surely down my cheeks by now.

"You obviously have no feelings or even empathy- . . it's because of my parents." I shakily spoke, feeling the need to cry again.

"Shhh," he pressed his fingers to my chapped lips. My eyes widened while looking at him in disbelief.
"Just get some sleep." He said rolling over on his side away from me. The moment he fell onto his side, he instantly fell asleep.

I glared and sat up away from him as I quietly slid off of the bed.
My bare feet hit the cold wooden floor.

I could feel sharp pieces of wood trying to dig it's way into my bare feet.
I ignored the prickling pain and slipped out of the room.
I ran down the hall as fast as I could.

Running up to the top deck, I tried to get a glance at where we were headed, or if we were even near land.

My thoughts and vision were disrupted once I heard a loud shout in my direction.
"Aye! What are you doin' up 'ere?!" A man with a sharp accent questioned.

My eyes widened.
I ran to the bow of the boat with anxiety.
My heart raced in my chest while I looked over the edge and saw the dark freezing ocean below me.

If I jump, I can be free from the ship for a brief moment, but if I land in the water, I'll drown before they could capture me again.

So there wasn't much use of jumping. I'd die either way.

"Step away from there!" He glared at me.
He charged in my direction and grabbed me by the waist, pulling me away from the edge.

I struggled, kicked, and hit, but it was no use.

I bit his hand, in hoping it would make him let go of me, but it did no justice.
He only got angrier.

He groaned lightly, struggling with me in his strong hands.
"You're going to regret that." He snarled into my ear.
He carried me to a tiny boarded room and threw my weak body to the floor with force.
I groaned in pain while he slammed the door, locking it.

I sat in a pitch black room, no candles, no cracks in the walls, nothing.

I felt my breathing become heavier as panic was brung upon me.
Anxiety raised in my chest. I tried to take deep breaths to calm my fast breathing down, but nothing worked.

I sat with my back against the wooden creaking wall, having a panic attack and feeling around for anything in the room to help me escape.

I cried into my arms after not finding anything. I hugged my knees tightly, until I fell asleep.

~~~~~
A bright light came into the room, and I heard talking.
I groaned as I sat up and frowned, looking up to be greeted with the captain. A look of pure disappointment crossing his features.
"The little bitch bit me." The man from last night mumbled to the captain. The blonde, green eyed brit raised a brow.
"Oh did she? Don't worry mate, I'll handle it." He growled at me.
I frowned worriedly.
That look couldn't have been good.
He grabbed me by my thin arm and tugged me to my feet, dragging me with him down to the captains quarters.
He shoved me into the room as I wobbled and stood unsteady on my feet, gaining balance once again.
He glared and shut the door behind him.
"WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT LEAVING?!" He screamed at me angrily. His voice was loud and terrifying when he shouted.
"And you left my room without permission!" He said as he raised his hand and slapped my face once again.
I winced in pain, heaving him sigh heavily, clearly annoyed.
"I don't want to have to hurt you, but you're really leaving me no choice." He gave me a slight look of empathy, while I held back tears facing him.
"Why did you run away last night, hm?" He asked me, clearly waiting for me to speak.
I sighed shakily.
I could feel the stinging sensation on my cheek from the harsh contact with his hand still.
I frowned feeling the nerves of my eyes making me want to cry.
"I don't know, sir." I said biting my lip in pain.
"Well, you're lucky I don't take away your eating privileges." He said giving me a scowl.
I stayed silent while he sighed heavily, turning around annoyed.
He sat on the desk and pondered to himself.
"What shall I do with you?" He asked, looking over his shoulder at me with a disappointing shake of his head. He tapped his fingertips to his chin while pondering.
"What are you going to do to me?" I asked him with a frown.
I shivered feeling the cold air throughout the room. My feet were frozen, under my eyes were dark, and my body was shaking.
He made a crooked frown, then took off his jacket, wrapping it around my tanned shoulders. He put his arm around me and held me close to his side.
"Bloody hell you're freezing." He sighed walking me over to the door.
I nodded as we walked down the hallways and back into his bedroom.
He sat me down on his bed and gave a dull look.
"You need to learn your manners now, love. What I say, goes. And that's how it will always be. You need to have a job on this ship to keep you busy." He told me petting my hair softly.
His fingers traced down to my neck, causing me to shiver. "O-Okay." I whispered.
"Tonight I'll have you clean the deck with some of the men." He said standing up.
I frowned up at him with tired eyes.
"Alright." I frowned.
"What? Is that a problem?" He asked me with a furrowed brow. "No sir." I mumbled.
"Good lass." He winked.
Walking to the dresser, he pulled out an off shade of white colored socks and threw them at me.
I caught them with a slight gasp, looking down to my splintered, frozen feet.
He walked towards the door and looked back at me.
"Get some rest love. You'll need it."
