I can see behind your smile
Your warm eyes deceiving
There's no pleasance in your hugs
Your kisses nonexistent
Your words, 'I love you'
A phrase said, no emotion
Yet you plead it to be true
If only I'd believe you
I can peer into your soul
Your heart cold and neglected
You entertain with lies
And bragging of your childhood
You make up taunts to wound my being
But, I swat them as if flies
I've lived with you far too long to fall for your insignificant scams
I seemed to have hurt you
Your tears of agony streaming
A hoax to bring in sympathy
The mask you wear, glued so tight
The others mislead by your witty ploys
A fool can't perceive through your illusory act
But, I am no dunce, nor fit to wear the cap
I'm not sorry you feel 'cheated'
Your sheepish words are ignorant
I'm not sorry you feel 'threatened'
I hold nothing up my sleaves
You claim you're always right
Stealing answers from my lips
Does it make you feel smarter to plagiarise my thoughts?
I can see behind your smile
Where your true grimace sits
I can tap into your misery
Your happiness a fake
If only you knew better
Before I learned all your impractical magic tricks
