What the hell? A sound of laughter follows, and my head quickly turns to the window just up my bed, I can tell that the source is coming from the outside, I get on my knees so that I can look outside the window properly, ever so slowly I open it then I move my neck forward, eyes shifting and scanning the darkness to find the source of the sound. And luckily it comes out again."well, I can definitely relate to that point." on the left just under the big trash can are sitting two small figures, but I cannot make out their facial expressions due to the lack of light. They don't seem to notice me spying on them two feet away, but I'm thankful for that.
As creepy as it is, I lay my head on the window listening to the conversation they're having and not making a sound.
"but you're going back, of course, I mean you don't have anywhere else to go." Says a girl.
"I am, but not right now, I don't know when, in the morning I guess, I just need some time. Everything is going badly and I don't see things becoming better" responds the other one.
"I know what you mean. It's suffocating, having all of these feelings but not being able to get them out, you have to make it better on your own I think, I'm still working on it." Says the first one again.
"I just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, as they say. And I don't know, not having anyone beside you is also very tiring, my only friends are fictional- pathetic I know, but it is what it is" huffs the girl
"there is light, I hope so at least" somehow, I felt sad, nobody should be talking like this, there is light. I am sure of it now. What happened today is the proof.
"there is. Trust me" my voice betrays me. The two figures look at the same direction, at me, I can't see much but I feel them glancing at each other then back at me. Suddenly, a flash of light pops out of a device, letting me see the two girls clearly.
"mm, excuse me we didn't mean to bother you." Speaks a girl with red short hair, very cute I think to myself, I like her already.
"yeah sorry" follows the other girl, really gorgeous, long black sleek hair, with green eyes that shine as bright as the stars visible in the sky above, very beautiful I cannot stop staring.
"no no it's okay, I wasn't asleep I just heard you and decided to be creepy" oh crap, that's not the right thing to say, damn it Amy.
"uumm I mean that I just heard you guys saying that you're facing some troubles or... things... from that sort and you don't see it becoming better, and I disagree," I tell them, they just stare at me.
"what's your name?" inquires the red haired one.
"Amy," I reply.
"well I'm Amren and this is Karma. So, why do you disagree?" asks Amren curiously.
Before I could reply, Karma interrupts "why don't you jump out and come join us? We came in peace, I swear" she adds as she sees the look on my face. The thing is, these girls seem rich, they're dressed properly and stuff, me on the other hand, have been wearing these shorts and shirt for a whole week, it's kind of embarrassing really.
"well, yeah okay" I hesitate but do it anyway, I don't have friends, pretending like I do for tonight seems cool. I jump easily, the window is very close to the floor. My dirty feet hit the cold floor and I kind of brush dirt off of my clothes, then I go sit with Amren and Karma, creating a small circle with them. I just sit, cross my feet and look down, not sure of what to do.
"so?" asks Karma sweetly.
"I believe in happy endings," I tell them "whatever you're facing, it will get better, for sure, but it's you who will decide when. Weird coming out from a girl like me, who lives in not-the-best circumstances, I know but, you have to be positive, if not for you then for the people you love, who wish to see you happy."
