Dark words to a white woman
I listened in as dark words caressed her heart,
Her twitch as if to try to ignore them but a fragment of a smile escapes her lips,
She had been warned against such dark words,
She had been told about the false intensions behind them,
But her weary heart could resist not the warmth they offered,
I do this for you,
I love you,
I can make you happy,
Such words ring through her ears and causes questions in her tired mind,
They flow to heart and encase it in a sense of warmth and protection that had not been offered by the word,
As the sense of protection looms over her the doubtful questions begin to arise,
She loses focus over everything and falls for these dark words,
She falls so hard into that dark alluring abyss,
And as those words encage her and darken her world she runs to them for more comfort,
And in that blinding moment where she gives into those dark words a light emanates from inside,
And these dark words leave,
They have no more interest in her existence as she has new found interest in theirs,
She is left to face the world as they ask in raged voices;
Why did you listen them?
Why did you follow?
She is left to face the worlds ridicule as it remembers not the woman that existed before having found solace in Dark words,
And I watch on as they turn their backs on her,
But maybe if her heart had received the warmth and protection it had so craved then maybe it wouldn’t have fallen for Dark words
