"Mr. Zonker is going on another one of his rants about wormholes again..." Lance whispers over to Hunk who just joined the class from coming back to restroom.

Hunk and Lance had been friends ever since they met back 6 years ago. They lived in the same neighborhood.  Now that they were in high school, they are closer than ever.

Mr. Zonker continued his off topic speech about wormholes. "Now, if you continuously do nothing, your body will be stretched like Altean spaghetti." He did this a lot so the kids were used to it.

School had started last Monday and one boy had not shown up. Nobody knew his name. Nobody knew who he was. All Lance knew was he knew him a little while back. He couldn't think of who it was. Pidge, no she is a girl. Shiro, is in college.

Suddenly, the door flew open. A short boy with a mullet showed. Lance couldn't see his eyes, but he had a look of sadness on his face. He marched in and sat down in the back of the classroom, coincidentally right next to Lance McClain.

"Hey, the names Lance, and yo-" The boy stopped Lance before he could say anything else with a glare.

"Keith. Keith Kogane." He replied.

That was the first time Lance saw Keith's dark purple eyes. His eyes were as deep as space itself.

Lance's mouth opened but instead he let out a smile and a nice wave. "Nice to meet you, Mullet Man!"

"Don't EVER call me that."

"Right. Noted." Lance blurted out.

Hunk whispered in Lance's ear. "Is that the Keith from 1st grade?"

"I think so." Lance said.

"Didn't you like him a while back?" Hunk rudely asked.

Lance blushed and yelled. "NO NEVER WHAT GAVE YOU THAT IDEA?!"

Mr. Zonker looked at the blue brunette. "What was that? Do you have something you would like to share? Lance?"

"No sir."

"Oooo! Looks like Lance still has a crush after all!" Hunk said in Lance's ear.

"Just shut it. I am already embarrassed." Lance said through his hands.
