Chapter 10

Hayyyyy guys!! Sorry it's been a long time since I updated but I was on vacation in Jamaica with no wifi whatsoever!!! So please comment what you think and enjoy!;)

PS----I tried to add more sifi in it and I've never wrote a sifi book so hang with me there but i will get better! Oah also enjoy the cliffhanger! ;)

Chapter 10

"GO EMMA !GO JUMP!" Aiden yells.

I stutter for a minute hoping he was joking but the expression on his face told me he wasn't.

When I finally build up enough courage I jump from half way down the tree and land on the

hard dirt and wince at the sudden pain. Aiden follows and gives me a hand. "Common

hurry!!"

As I stand up my leg makes a crack like noise and I yell as I grasp the swollen ankle.

"I can't! Aiden I can't!"

He looks at me confused but then curses as he sees my ankle."Shoot!! Hang in there!" He

scoops me up and cradles me in his arms and starts into a full out sprint. His breath fogs up

in the night as he takes fast breaths to be in the lead of the dark shadows. I can feel the tight

grip and the shaking of his arms. He's getting tired fast.

Too fast.

"Where are we?" I mumble?

"AIDEN. EMMA. COME!"

The shadows behind us all swarm like ants and race each other to their pray

Us

"Three more minutes....h-hold on!" He gasps through his raspy breaths, "we'll make it! I

promise."

I can't see very clearly but his pupils are dilated and are full of determination but still contain

fear. His cheekbones are raised high and he breaths through his teeth. But that's not it...he

looks scared. We both are. But I can't believe I'm letting him save my life again..

"Almost there AIDEN go!! You can do it!"

Tears stream out of my eyes and my mouth is chapped. I can't move my foot and my vision

is blurry. This night is like a living nightmare. But worse way worse. Just when I thought we

gained some length between us and the monsters a dark shadow appears from the tree and

swoops toward Aiden and I.

"DUCK!!" I scream and my voice cracks at the sudden outburst of adrenaline. My heart

beats faster and I'm now aware of my surroundings, my whole body starts to shake, and I

mean shake. This is real fear. Not the type when you see a spider, or when you have to

speak In font of your class, no this is real fear and I cannot contain it. Aiden drops to the

floor but it's too late. The monsters claw seeps into my shoulder and I let out a high pitched

howl. Aiden grunts and punches the dark shape flat out in the face. It whines and falls back,

leaving a bloody cut through my shirt. Why couldn't I have stayed in my room, why?

"You okay?" He says through a huge sigh of relief.

"No."

"Hang in there!" He squeezes me even harder and sprints at full might down the path that

will lead us into the fields! I look back every once in a while and see no figures but my gut

tells me their still there.

"There, there!" Aiden points to the opening and smiles through the dark. I smile back and

hold my breath ready to sigh of relief. Right when Aiden is about to exit the entrance a

shadow jumps infront of us blocking us from our path. Aiden blocks me away in his arms

and the monsters eyes stair right at mine and it's mouth waters with desperation. It starts to

reach out for us screaming our names at the top of its lungs. My vision starts to go blurry

because I'm loosing too much blood and the last thing I see was the sound of a gunshot and

the monster falls.

But Aiden didn't have a gun.....

I'm in the room again. But this time there's ten of them all starring into my eyes and drool seeps down their dark faces, their hungry. But I know I'm not here for that. I would be long dead if that's why they brought me here. There's the man. He still wears the black mask that covers his face but his coat gleams in the dark. He quietly places a liquid into a surge and walks slowly toward me. I yell in horror but the monsters hold me down.

"Let me GO!! LET ME GO!" I screatch kicking and punching wherever I can. But their too strong and I cry, knowing my life is over. The sharp needle is placed into my neck and it rushes through my blood. The man waits...but nothing happens. He yells in frustration and bangs the walls and his tables! He looks at me and spits, "your the monster!"

I wake up screaming and sweaty with tears down my face. I'm in my room, in my bed, so I

try to calm down. Aiden comes bursting through the door, "what's happened? Are you

alright?" He had dark circles under his eyes and his eyes droop low. He hasn't slept.

"Yah yah I'm fine. Just a nightmare."

"I get those too. How's your shoulder and ankle?" He asks raising an eyebrow. My shoulder aches and burns from whatever he put on it. It's wrapped in cloth and my ankle feels a little better but is also wrapped.

"I'm fine go back to sleep."

"I haven't slept, I've been outside you door this whole time." He says what rubbing his

fingers through his hair.

"Oah..wha--" I'm cut off by Aiden saying, "I'll talk to you in the morning!" And with that he

kisses my forehead and walks out.

When I wake up I do my best to put on a clean shirt and pants but every move is horror. I

limp out the door and rush to the cafeteria. I can't wait to see Aiden to day and figure out

what in the heck happend. But when I shove open the door no ones there, and it's 9:30 am. I

search around the room curious of what's happend and then I hear it.

Screaming..
