Cali, Pete and Freya were walking down the street like three blind mice; unaware of the direction they would have to take to get to this party that everyone had been waiting for all month. It was like waiting for charismas day, wondering if it's going to be good. There was a moment of silence before Freya, being herself, spoke. "Cali, do you remember yesterday when me and Pete were at your house?" Freya said unexpectedly as she rummaged through her handbag to reapply her lipstick.
"Yeah, what about it?" Cali pushed her hair back from her face that had been annoying her for hours. Her long, dark brown curly hair was like a chocolate fountain, extremely messy, but astonishing at the same time. "You didn't seem yourself, were you okay?"
Cali was deciding whether it was worth telling them about what she had found. It is my best friends that I am talking to, they know my deepest of secrets and I don't even know if this is a thing to be worried about, Cali thought to herself as she continued to stroll down the street flicking her hair to the back of her head.
"I don't even know if this is a thing to be worried about, but there was this letter that I found. Someone was banging loudly on my door, and when I opened it, the letter was the only thing there. I haven't opened in yet, but the look it, well, just makes me feel scared and I don't know why. I guess maybe I'm worried about what's going to be in it"
Cali coughed loudly as if she was choking on water. Freya moved swiftly over to Cali and patted her back harshly. She then put her long and skinny arm around Cali's shoulder pulling her toward herself.
"It's stupid really" she quickly added after she had finished coughing. Pete looked at Cali with a huge grin on his face. There was something about the way Pete was staring at her. It was like he had been in love with her for years but too scared to tell her.
"A letter?" Freya looked surprised as if she had just been told that she won the lottery. "I'm sure it's..."
Pete interrupted "We're here, let's go in".
