I step off my motorcycle to see teens either saying goodbye to there parents or walking into Kennett High School, home of the lions. I have my own motorcycle and my dad's at home still asleep. We don't really have that father daughter bond.
I don't have a mom, I was adopted, sadly.Today is my first day at this school as a senior, and I'm not happy about it. We just moved house's because the rent was getting to high for my dad's liking. I had one friend at my old school, Kim. She was awesome and I'm gonna miss her. We still keep in contact, but without her by my side, it's not the same.
As I'm walking into the school, I get stares and looks. I even herd a guy and his friends cat call me.
"Hey sexy"
I just ignore it. As long as they don't lay a hand on me, then their dead. I see the administration office to my right and I walk right in. I see two desk with couches against the wall in front of them with three other students waiting. Their was one lady at each desk on their computers. I walk up to the desk to my left."Um, Hi I'm new?"
"Welcome to Kennett High, name?" The lady asks with a smile.
"Uh, Rosemary Parker"
She takes a moment typing into her computer.
"Ok, I have a schedule printing for you, and would you like me to have a student show you around?"
"Uh, I'm good" I sit on the couch farthest away from anyone else to avoid talking on the end of the couch. As I wait, I notice a boy who keeps staring at me to my right. I just try to avoid his stare. The lady signals to me to come and get my schedule. I grab it and I walk out as the school bell sounds. I look at my schedule to see that my first period is, Algebra, Room 140, Miss. Hall. What a great way to start a day, with math. I roam the halls see as no student are out. That bell must have been the tardy bell. I finally find the room.
I walk in, the class goes silent and all eyes are on me. They act like they've never seen a human before.
"Hi, you must be Rosemary" Miss. Hall smiles.
"Rose, is fine" I say.
"Well, Rose you can take a seat in any chair available, class just started"
I sit in the very back left corner.
"Hey, I'm Max" The guy in front of my turns around to face me. He had blond hair with blue eyes and an amazing smile.
"Hey" I say.
"Your really pretty"
"Thank you"
"But don't worry I'm not hitting on you, I'm gay" He says quickly.
"Ok then" I smile.
"You have a very pretty name by the way"
"Thank you, are you always this nice?"
"Only to the people that aren't homophobic and stuck up populars"
"Rose, I'm glad your making friends, but please pay attention" Miss Hall says.
"My fault" Max rolls his eyes facing the front.
At the end of the period, I check my schedule to see Study Hall is my next class. I put my things away in my bag and I head out to see that Max was waiting for me by the door.
"Hi again" He follows me as I walk.
"Hey" I say with a smile.
"So we're friends now, let me see your schedule"
Usually if someone were to do this, I'd say back off, but he seems nice. I hand him my schedule.
"You have fifth and eighth with me and my boyfriend, and seventh, and Study Hall with my right now"
