A pleasure to meet you! Allow me to introduce my wonderful self.

My name is Gwen Wellsworth (I'm pretty sure it's of English origin, or something like that), but I deeply, deeply despise my last name, so I beg you to just call me Gwen.

I'm the proud daughter of two high falutin' scholars. My old man Jeremy Wellsworth, is the faculty head at the local University, while my mother Sarah is simply a professor of sociology at that very same University. How else would they have met each other!?

Now back to me! Well, I'm 25, a bit of a renegade, super fine, and 9 times out of 10, I could blow your mind. What does that last part mean, you ask? Use your imagination! Something you need to know about me is that their is nothing that I hold in higher regard than the oh so holy art of music. Not god, not family, not even eating or sleeping. As the late great Billy Preston once said, Music Is My Life.

My struggle is that, no matter how great my love for the craft is, you wouldn't say I'm super talented. I mean, I'm working on it, but it takes me a while, you know!? That being said, if you need someone to advise you on your music, I'm your lady! I've got an ear like...well, whatever animal has an incredible ear for music! I only learned this through the stupid amounts of below average bands that I've been a part of, however briefly.

The other thing you need to know about yours truly is that, in my humble opinion, there is NO greater group, living or dead, than The Wailin' Wonders. If you haven't heard of these guys, think Ray Charles meets Van Halen (Sounds wild, I know!). This epic 5-piece consists of Remy on lead guitar, Stacy on drums, Jen on keys, Carl on bass, and Kevin on rhythm guitar. Oh! And did I mention that every single one of these sexy beasts can sing. I'm not kidding when I tell you, at a live show, those voices will bring you to tears my friend, trust me.

So now you know some juicy tidbits about the beautiful creature that is me. I should also tell you that, for the last 3 months I've been planning to see The Wailin' Wonders at the newly revamped Festival Express, in lovely Toronto. I've gotten down most of the details, and now I'm just working on the final touches to my masterplan.

It won't be long until I'm reunited with my one true love.
