Chapter Two: The Key

  Ruby groaned slightly, pushing the box of cookies aside. "Sorry...I always keep my lien in my scroll's case...I guess I must've misplaced it." She waved at the baker and walked out of the bakery, shaking her head. "I know I had it with me when I left...Erg...Where could it be..." She groaned a bit as she started walking back towards Beacon. "Guess I'll call it a day..."

Ruby sighed as she walked off the airship, heading back towards her dorm. "Wait...A minute...That girl I bumped into...Maybe she must've seen it!" She jumped up and started running towards her dorm hall, determined to find this girl.

Neo sat in her dorm, smirking as she continued looking through Ruby's scroll, finding Yang's contact number. She grinned and sent message. 'Hey sis. Going to be out with a study buddy. Be back late.'

Ruby looked around the hall, narrowing her eyes. "She walked to...This dorm...I think..." She sighed a bit as she knocked, receiving no answer. "Hmm...She has to be in one of these dorms..."

Neo got up and walked out of her dorm, hearing a scream coming from down the hall. Before she knew it, she was tackled to the ground, staring at Ruby towering over her.

Ruby smiled and got up, helping Neo stand. "Hey! Uh...Awkward question but uh...I seemed to have misplaced my scroll and I was just wondering if you had seen it anywhere! Maybe when we bumped into each other?"

Neo slowly nodded a bit, shaking her head before looking around. She had Ruby where she wanted her. Alone and defenseless...Good...

Ruby slowly nodded and bowed slightly. "Sorry for the disturbance! I didn't mean to bother you or anything, you seem pretty busy! Do you need any help?"

Neo smiled a bit, shaking her head. Not now...Not yet anyways...She had to make sure Ruby was weak. She bowed her head and waved slightly, starting to walk away.

Soon enough the time would come for Ruby to meet her fate...And when the time came, Neo would be ready.
