Trials of Redemption

  Jacob, Riley, Matthew and Sarah all sat around the table in an old bar in an awkward silence for what seemed to be an eternity until Riley spoke up.

    "Okay so for the record who here in this bar haven't you slept with, pissed off, or attempted to murder Jacob?"

    Sarah, Matthew, and Jacob all laughed at the same time. "Jacob wasn't always so famous you know, back in the day he was just some punk kid, or as I use to say Luna's bitch" Sarah said with a sly grin on her face.

     "watch it Sarah those are fighting words" Jacob said annoyed

      "You should save all that fighting spirit for the trials Jacob" Sarah said while winking.

       " You know you all seem to be in a pretty good mood considering Luna's still being held captive, Jacob has to go through these trials of whatever its called, and we don't even have a clue of what we're up against once we finally do go to save Luna." Matthew said as he seemed to sink lower and lower in his chair after every word.

      Jacob just stared at Matthew and took a long swig of his drink. Riley's face darkened and he stared straight at Jacob " he has a point you know we don't seem to be doing much to help her right now." Riley said.

      Sarah rolled her eyes "Now you've done it hot shot." she said as she lifted her mug up to her lips. Jacob slammed his fists on the table and it was crushed instantly. The whole bar went silent. "I'VE KNOWN LUNA LONGER THEN YOU'VE BEEN ALIVE ON THIS EARTH, SO DON'T YOU PRETEND TO ASSUME I'M DOING NOTHING TO SAVE HER." Jacob screamed

     "THEN WHY IS IT NOTHINGS HAPPENED ITS BEEN DAYS OH MIGHTY LONE WOLF" Riley screamed as he stood up. Jacob stood up and met Riley's gaze. "I have a plan, but its a plan you and matt aren't strong enough for yet, if I know Luna by now she's got a plan and hell she may end saving herself and I also know shed kill me if i let anything happen to you. so please just trust me. I know what I'm doing." Jacob responded.

   Riley turned around and stormed out of the bar. Jacob turned around to stare at a frightened Matthew. 

"you just had to mention Luna" Jacob said.

Matthew sat up.
    
    " I just want to know whats going on, and how exactly you plan and figuring this all out. We're in this together or are we not?" Matthew asked.

     "of course we are Matt , but not everything can be discussed in public you know. If you haven't noticed around here everyone either  hates me , fears me or both. I will tell you everything at Sarah's place tonight." Jacob said as he took another swig of his drink.

     Immediately the doors to the bar were opened Tempest and a group of armed guards  stood at the doorway.

 "Jacob its time." Tempests voice boomed.

    "That's bullshit the trails allow up to 48 hours to prepare, its barely been a day.!" Sarah shouted outraged.

   "The council has deemed that since the rules do state that it is up to that amount of time and-." Tempest couldn't finish his sentence because Sarah had dashed out of her seat and had a blade to Tempest's throat. 

   The guards all turned their weapons on Sarah, ready to strike.

 "Sarah stop...it isn't worth it, Its to be expected Tempest is just following orders." Jacob said as he stood up and walked towards tempest and the guards. 

   Sarah dropped her blade and backed away to stand by Riley and Matthew.

"We will talk after I deal with the trials." Jacob managed to get out before a guard put a bag over his head and escorted him out of the bar.
