Assalamualaikum! The below written thing is my poor attempt at poetry written for the @Muslims_Ink Poetry contest. Hope you like it! :)
By most men and women;
My religion is misunderstood.
Understanding what it is,
Ain't difficult, if they could.
Our prophet has taught us the important things.
They say, Muslims fight in all kinds of court.
Terrorism is a crime.
And thus, we do not support.
Cheating is accepted as a foul.
Lying, by any ways, is disregarded.
We do not have to embrace it.
And we teach the same to the young and the aged.
Modesty, is very very essential.
We are taught to talk gently and cover.
Cover our body and be modest.
And we do so that the blessings shower.
We are happy when we pray to Him.
It is necessary for us to follow His guidelines.
Each day, we are gifted by five chances of meeting.
And that is why we rise before the sun shines.
Please try to peep into the reality.
To all those, who do not understand my religion.
Muslims are the one who submit to the will of Allah.
And Islam means peace through submission.
As real Muslims, we strive to please the Almighty.
Make acquaintance happy, no matter if they're near to us or far.
Caring and Sharing is a priority.
And this is what we are.
