12. Live More

I wake up to my phone ringing.
I groan and look for it on my bedside table.

"Hello" i answer my face still in the pillow.
"Em! Are you there?" Rachels loud voice booms through my the speaker.
"Yes, how may i help you on this not so fine day."i reply sarcastically.
" oh! I was just wondering what your doing. We havent hung out in a while."she speaks.

Truth is i dont want to hang out with Rachel now. I know its wrong and not her fault, but for petes sake that was my boyfriend making out with my best friend.
It was wrong of me not to tell them but i guess i grew up like that, i confide in myself because know one is going to be there till the end. Yeah im basically a potatoe that likes to spend her life indoors even though she has friends she prefers talking about her problems to Cole Sprous who just stands and looks good on her laptop screen.

" Emily! Hey are you still there." Rachel snaps me out of my daze
" uh... yeah, im kind off busy today maybe some other day."i mumble.
" you've been saying that for the last week! Did i do something wrong?" She mumbles.

I feel so bad and my guilty conscience is telling me to stop acting immature because it was partially my fault for not telling her.

"No , do you want to go to the mall or like for coffee?" I ask rubbing my eyes.
" i actually need new outfits. I'll pick you up in an hour and we can go to the mall." She decides and hangs up.

I groan into my pillow. I was so comfy in bed , i planned on just staying here all summer but i guess thats about to change.

I sit up and unlock my phone to see 2 texts.
I know my life is sad.

Both are from blake.

Asshole : hey princess.
Asshole: how have you been?

I know i saved his name as asshole , because i was kind of mad at him for sleeping with Kate.

When i woke up the day after the party Blake was gone and i never looked to much into it. I mean it was just one day and besides we never did anything.
I havent seen him since then or been out of my house. I kind of just filled up on series and eating pizza.

I reply to his texts and get out of bed.
I do my usual morning routine and throw on my denim shorts and one of my favorite crop tops that has a picture of fries on them.
I finish of my outfit with black vans and my hair into a high ponytail. I tug on my hair to loosen it and give it the messy effect.

I grab my phone and head downstairs. I grab an apple and munch on it while i wait for Rach.

I see Rachels black beetle appear in my driveway and i lock the door and head towards her.

She beams as i settle into the passanger seat.
We start talking about random things and how our summer is going.
Mel is gone out for some camp.
Lets just say she invited Rach and I and after hearing whats it about we declined.

We reached the mall and started walking into random stores.
Rachel never mentioned any new guy she hooked up with.
She would usually mension who shes been with and all the intricate details of how good they were.
But she never brought up Jeremy.

We walk around H&M aimlessly. While Rach rants on about her needing new clothes.

" i dont actually know what i want but something thats like party appropriate but also come get me.." she goes on and on about what kind of clothes she wants.
