"In a world humanity can't be trusted, only our instincts, we don't know who to trust. This is why we signed up. To fight, anyone and anything that gets in our way. But I didn't expect the news flash"(12:00) Mess Hall, Survey Cadets, Germany
Jean slammed his fists on the dark oak table, plates jumped up a couple of inches, crumbs scattered across the table. Everyone sitting around the table widened their eyes.
"Marco for fuck sake we aren't going to die!"
Jean earned unwanted attention of the many soldiers who only came for food, they didn't expect a circus.
"Jean, quiet down, it's not his fault he's afraid, some other people are too"
Armin looked at the ground, he was anxious. He avoided eye contact with the male he'd just spoken to.
Jean tutted "I think I figured that, smart ass! I ain't gonna lie, I'm nervous too but I'm just trying to reassure him!"
Jean stood up, his hands still on the table. He then quickly walked away from the shame, dirty looks and slop on his plate. He went outside and sat on a tree branch, fiddling with the locket he was given as a kid, the writing inside said: 'Please Don't Forget'.A pale, freckled, black haired male slowly walked outside.
"I'm sorry, Jean. Is it my fault?"
The male grabbed the tree branch and pulled himself up, then sat next to Jean.
"No Marco, I'm short tempered and afraid...."
Jean whispered and kept looking at the locket, he then closed his hand to make a fist, then put the locket in his pocket. Marco turned to Jean with hope in his eyes.
"Jean, I will protect you"
Jean looked up and turned his head to Marco
"Don't you dare risk your life for me! You hear me!?"
Marco looked at jean
"But I-"
Jean silenced him by covering Marcos mouth with one hand.A raven haired male with narrow eyes and an undercut hairstyle with curtains leaned against the doorframe.
"Inside you two, time for training."To Be Continued
