as promised
i found more reasons to complain about the Voltron fandom1. "Shaladin ships are pedophilia."
bitch what the fuck
• Pedophilia: noun: sexual feelings directed toward children.
c h i l d r e n.
• Although their canon ages have not been released, the paladins are confirmed to be in their late teens. Which, in turn, means they are not children. If you're going to make a claim, please educate yourself on the words you use.2. Fans holding pictures as ransom.
• A fan was given a tour of Studio Mir. Accidentally, the pictures they took were posted- but that's not the problem. Another fan tried holding the pictures as ransom to make their ship canon. This almost got Studio Mir into a lot of serious legal trouble and potentially jeopardized the production of the show. Although the crazy fan was convinced to take the pictures down, future tours are unlikely.
3. Fans sending death threats to voice actors.
• Allura was confirmed to be around the same age as the other paladins, therefore making her a teenager as well.
• Fans lashed out in retaliation, saying that Allura's age was a modification to make Keith/Allura canon.
• Fans started a petition for staff to reveal the character's canon ages, making a weak argument that their petition was to "combat pedophilia" when we all know they were just trying to justify why their ship was better or should happen.
• Upon Josh Keaton (Shiro's voice actor) making a comment for people to stop harassing others regarding ships, fans started harassing and threatening him. Keaton refuses to make any comment regarding ships.4. Fans harassing staff.
• Staff has expressed their disappointment with 'ship-to-ship' combat/ship wars.
• Multiple death threats have been made when any bit of information is given if it affects their ships.||| The Voltron fandom has (few, but they're out there) very, very toxic and obsessive fans. Proceed with caution. |||
