Beast Of The Abyss

It seems like a day full of errors as Dad drives fast with the military trucks lights on. Those lights tell other drivers to get out of the way. As a Admiral he can use a special road made for only military personnel. The reason he chose the car is beyond me but I cannot complain. We pass the triplet towers and head for the military base which is located behind the statue of liberty. 30 years ago the city was fully remodeled, in fact, most of the globes cities were remodeled. New roads and buildings, rising seas caused issues as well, the usual stuff. We arrive at the base in a matter of minutes. Just as we park the truck one of the deluxe jumbo screens which was built on the middle of the middle tower flickers on and off. Soon every screen on the buildings throughout the city act the same. Dad tries to get us to move into the building but the sound of a voice causes even the people walking to stop. On the screen now appears a foreign face. It has blue all over its body and white stripes. The creature has two nostrils where a human nose would be located. As it breathes the nostrils open and close. Before it says anything the feed is lost and we soon see another similar alien. This one has red skin and black stripes. It starts speaking." Humans of Earth, for ages you have sought the stars in order to make them your homes. I am Uvektralish, but in your human language my name would be Golieth. I hacked satellites weak in nature to communicate a warning, Ellion is my species birth rite. Yet we came home and found your deplorable species infesting our home like ants. So today we will show you the cost of tresspassing." As he says this another alien pulls a human in a fleet uniform into the video feed. The man is shackled and appears to have been beaten up. The man starts crying and begins pleading for his life. With no remorse the red alien pulls out a sword made from some sort of bone and metal and stabs the mans eyes. He then licks the blood off his blade and proceeds to cut his throat. My anger grows as we watch, and the creature, not satisfying his own immorality, picks up the man and throws him to his dog like creatures which begin to feast on the man.
The alien laughs as the dog like creatures eat the man." Ellion is ours, if you value your lives you wont go near it. As for those already stationed on our home, they are our slaves. Consider this a threat of war."

The world stays silent as we try to process what we just saw. The universe seems to hate us because before we can think properly another transmission appears to be forming. This time its the blue creature who we assume is from the same species. It too begins to speak." Hello? Hello? I am not sure if I am properly speaking your language, I was taught by a human however-" Before it can finish a women appears on the screen. I drop my phone and Dad drops his keys and ID, its Mom. She frantically adjusts the feed so it can be clear. She proceeds to speak." My name is Elizabeth Sanchez." Dad nudges me in joy for that fact that she kept his last name. Mom goes on." Years ago planet Cerfect was destroyed in a black hole. My research team escaped and survived soley due to the help of a species called the Wrathians. I have no doubt you met a Wrathian minutes before this. That Wrathian does not represent the general people of this species. A civil war broke out months ago and the opposimg side is fuled by an even worse enemy, one with the power to subjugate entire galaxies. Though we have limited information about them it appears mars used to be filled with life, until this unknown enemy destroyed the planet. The Wrathian that calls himself Golieth in human tongue wants Ellion because it holds a supposed secret power. Golieth and his warriors call themselves the Elvorash, in human tongue it means Enslavers Of All Flesh. Those who oppose him call themselves the Telcovan, Defenders Of All. Humanity has been sprung into this war unwillingly but I will tell you this, our two species are among many who are fighting to stop not only the Wrathians, but this unknown, yet real threat. We.... [Static].....For all generations...[Static]....Preserve all life by fighting or we...shall..[Static]...Die." Soon the feed fades and the noise of the city catches up with us. Dad smiles brightly, so much he can be mistaken for enjoying the war we now find ourselves in.

We make our way into the base where every single person is working 50 times harder. I look onto the small moniters near the doors entrance. On it NBC is reporting on the events just witnessed. As we get scanned I see a bunch of soldiers all hanging around a flat screen tv. They too are watching the news until Dad orders them to go to their posts. Dad waits for a couple of minutes after a soldier whispers something in his ear. It seems like barely any seconds have passed when Vice Admiral Williams comes into the room. He salutes to Dad and we all salute to him. It appears there is no time for formalities as he doesn't attempt to say hello and begins leading us to the emergency room. As we go in he motions to me and the others." Sebastian, the new fleet...It was supposed to be a surprise but ironically, we stationed you in Centrex Station which is one light year away from Ellion. And even in Ellions orbit is another station that might have been taken or could be protected. This meeting is for every Captain, Commander, General, and Admiral. The rest of you were just recently promoted Mindy, Nova, congratulations on becoming Commanders. Kiba, well done on becoming a Captain. Hayden, Vice Admiral is a fitting title. I will say this however, you all were assigned to Sebastians crew for your skill and familiarity with him, he is ultimately in charge. Dante I know you failed your evalution test to become a General as well, but you were close. However you were promoted as Commander as well, due to your skills. Now go in there and Sebastian." I sigh as we all walk into the room. The room resembles the simulation room as it too is circle shaped. The only reason is because all the rows of seats form a circle. This allows the emergency meeting leader which is usually a base commander or higher officer to speak to everyone. Dad keeps moving foward as we find seats in the front row. As Dad makes his way to the center we see faces of people appear on the screens above us. Above us is a second floor or balacany that also has many rows. The screens are screwed onto the front of the balacanys.

Dad gets into the attention position and everyone in the room stands up. Dad begins." I needn't express what the situation is. War! War has come upon us in a time of peace. I will not speak in detail but my wife, we all saw she is alive. She expressed it clearly, morr than any of us can repeat. The enemy desires to not only take Ellion, but to enslave the colonist and workers that comprise a number of 50,000 all together. They even killed one of our own live with no remorse. I need data and ideas, anyone?" Dads words echo all around us as a few hands up go into the air. A man behind us shouts out before anyone can be called upon." With all due respect Grand Admiral, other than your wife we have no solid evidence showing that this new species wants our help. We all witnessed the death of a Fleet officer." Some people grunt in annoyance at the mans ignorance. A women on the other side of the room counters." Did anyone blame all the Hispanics for the actions of Pedro Cruz? Leader of the rebel and terrorist group responsible for the Atom Wars?" The room erupts in sub arguments until Dad shouts for order. Next to him are other Admirals and even War Heroes. One war hero demands that we focus on solutions that involve us working together, not solutions that can divide us or instill fear. For an hour many people bring up pulling out of the planet and sector or offering a peace treaty. I spend my time absorbing their ideas and creating a plan that involves many aspects of everyones statements. I sit down like many others around me until I hear my name being called by Felix, who happens to have just arrived and is in the middle too. Everyone stares at me, even Dad appears to eagerly wait for my plan. Felix continues before I say anything." Grand Admiral, your son broke the world record for that simulation, is he a worthy leader in your opinion." Dad smirks," Alas he is, he is smart and capable." With that said Felix looks at me again," So what do you say Vice Admiral, what do you propose we do." I stand up and look around me." I think I will need the console to demonstrate my plan." The entire room erupts in minor whispers, some laugh while others groan. Felix and everyone in the center look at each other as I await their decision." Very well, hurry as we have no time to waste."

I make my way out of the first row. While Passing by everyone I say excuse me. Even the stairs are packed. As I walk down them I notice that some screens above my head show a room like this with different people. I also notice cameras with the numbers and lettets 4L1, which tells you it is an Interstellar camera meant to link to fleets and galactic bases. I crack my fingers as I make my way to the center. Dad and the others then proceed to move away from the center as I arrive.
