Ahh, sleep. Such a wonderful thing isn't it? Full of dreams and no cares. You can just escape to your dream world and just for a bit, everything seems alright. And after a school year full of getting up at the stupid crack of dawn and potential, unnecessary drama, it felt nice to finally get some sleep and-OH MY GOSH I'm going to be a senior next year!!I'm not ready for this! All the responsibilities and ugh, college. I let out a well-needed groan, and flipped my pillow over. I pushed my face into it's soft, cool surface and let out a deep breath. Everything is going to be ok. My senior year is months away and I got the whole summer to relax. I got the whole summer to myself. I can finally have some nice alone time. I just got to look on the positive side of things. Nothing is going to ruin my summer! You hear that world?! NOTHING IS GOING TO-

"YOU SIGNED ME UP FOR A WHAT?!" I screeched, spitting magically deliciousness all over the place in the process. Thus portraying that I was eating Lucky Charms.

"Chill out Sammy, and please do cover your mouth." She spoke in a calmly manner.

My eyes became sassily half-lidded and full of irritation. I absolutely hated when she called me that. It's Sam. I could go on and on about it to her, but I need to focus on what in the heck she signed me up for.

"It's Sam." I simply said, rolling my eyes.

"Yes, yes, Sam. Anyway, I signed you up for a summer camp! Isn't that wonderful?" She beamed.

"NO!" I begged.

"Oh please, it'll be fun! You don't even know what kind of camp it is anyway." She assured me with a stretching grin. That smile will be the death of me, I swear.

"Alright, so what "wonderful" camp will you be sending me to this summer, dear mother?" I marvelled, lacing my speech with sarcasm.

"Group therapy camp!" She cheerfully announced. Group...therapy...camp...? What? Are you serious right now?! Who the heck even came up with this stupid idea?! I thought I was going to be stranded in the woods with a bunch of other campers but nooo it's so much better because I get to be stranded in a stupid office full of a bunch of messed up teens just like me. This is fantastic, really, a truly fantastic miracle has risen. Forget the stupid plan of relaxing and being positive this summer, because is going to be a living hell for me. Oh boy, I just can't wait to-

"Dear, your eye is twitching, are you feeling fine?" My mother intervened.

"Absolutely terrific, mother." I murmured, gritting my teeth.

"Great! Because I've already packed everything that you will need while you were asleep! Seeing that you need to be there at 3:30, and it is currently 2:00, it would be best for you to leave right now since the drive is an hour away." She rambled and tossed me my bag. Dear god, what did she put in this thing? It feels like carrying multiple boulders. Her eyes landed on my struggling figure.

"Heh, yeah, you know me, I don't tend to pack lightly." She remarked while scratching the back of her head nervously.

"Uh huh." I drawled out. She suddenly started pushing me towards the front door and opened it for me.

"Well, like I said, time to go!" She exclaimed.

"But didn't you say that it's an hour away?" I questioned, quirking a brow. She's acting quite suspicious.

Yes, but, there could be uh...traffic. You never know!" She stated. Yep, definitely acting suspicious.

"Why are you acting so suspicious?" I questioned.

"Er, no reason. Now let's get a move on now, eh? You're just being paranoid. Remember when you arrive, text me. Love you, bye!" She jabbered and slammed the door shut. I flinched slightly in surprise.

"Well...ok." I spoke specifically to no one. I glanced down to the shiny, gray pair of cars keys that I grasped in my hand. Well, she told me to text her when I get there, so I can't just pretend to go there and then stay at a friend's house. Plus, the "camp" would probably just call and inform her that I'm not there. So, I guess...I actually have to go. Wow, well at least this will be a summer adventure for me, right? Whether that be a positive adventure or a negative adventure, it's still an adventure in the end. Yay for positivity! I let out an involuntary sigh and stumbled over to my car. I pulled out of the drive way and looked back to the save haven that I was leaving behind me. This was going to be fun.
