I don't really have anything to say, which is weird for me so I'm just going to jump right in.

*Nicole's point of view

I was woken up by my mom shaking me awake. "Honey, you have to buckle up we are about to land." I grouchily waved my hand at her. She should know that after all these years that she shouldn't wake me up. I buckled up and waited for our flight to land. When we could finally unbuckle and get out of our seats I grabbed my carry on bag and went to claim my checked baggage. When we arrived in New York I was glad that it was 1:30 a.m New York time and that I had slept on the way here because I wouldn't have that bad of jet lag.

We drove the hour and a half drive back to our old town of Little Falls, New York. I had missed the crispness in the air that I always associated with New York in the fall. I couldn't wait until it snowed I missed the deep snow. In Asti, California we were lucky if we got 2 feet of snow a year. I wanted to go sledding again. I know that sounds really immature, but I always loved playing in the snow.

When we finally pulled up to our house I was surprised when it was the same one as before. I didn't know if I has happy or sad about that. I had so many memories with this house. Me and Brandon had our first sleepover here. Sure when it was time to go to sleep I had to go in my room and he had to sleep on the couch, but it was at least 5 in the morning before that happened. Then there was the parties that we threw when my mom was out of town. I got caught for 2 out of the 8, but it was totally worth it. I hoped that I would get over the fact that this was our set hangout spot, our go to place when to meet up before we went anywhere.

I yawned and got out of the car. I was happy that we sent some of our furniture ahead of us so we had our beds and the couch and a few chairs. Everything else was supposed to come within the next day or two. I grabbed a blanket and pillow out of one of my bags and climbed into bed. I was asleep within moments.

*Brandon's point of view.

I couldn't stand sitting still. I had been anxious ever since I heard that Nicole was moving back into town. As I walked down the hallway for the thousandth time that night before I finally gave up at four in the morning. It seems like I was going for another run to try and burn off all this nervous energy.

I walked outside not caring that I was only wearing the boxers that I had tried and failed to fall asleep in. Hardly bothering to check if any one was around to see me, I shifted. A normal wolf shifter was usually much larger than a normal wolf. With me being the alpha I was even larger than normal. I was at least a half foot taller than most of them.

I started to head out on the route that I always take, it led me right past Nicole's old house. Even though I knew that her scent was gone from it I couldn't help but try and smell her whenever I past it. I ran faster pushing myself even harder than I normally did. My wolf urged me forward and I did nothing to stop him. I had made him lose his mate the least I could do was satisfy his need to work out.

My wolf urged to go go faster and I kicked up my speed. I was at a full out sprint now and he still wasn't satisfied. I was growing curious at what was going on with him. I skidded to a halt just as the trees started to thin out and I could see Nicole's house. My wolf was shaking in anticipation.

Like always I took a deep breath in waiting to feel the disappointment that I felt every time I came here. I expected to smell the stale air that the house normally smelled like. No one else had lived in it and I don't think they even tried to sell it. Only this time my nose was filled with the most delicious scent I had ever smelt. I knew that I had smelled it before, but it was never this strong. I took another breath not sure if it was to just enjoy the scent or to make sure my brain wasn't messing with me. Right then I was positive that my mate was back where she belonged, which was close to me.

I couldn't fight the pull that was drawing my closer to her. I started across her back lawn, I nudged the bushes out of my way and stopped when I got to the window of her bedroom. I put my front paws on the ledge and peeked into it. I finally relaxed for the first time in years when I saw the blanket rise up and down with her breathing. I took my time breathing in her scent and watching her.

This is the girl that I would gladly watch my whole pack die just to make sure she was safe. It didn't matter that I was alpha and that my job was to protect my pack, this little human girl came before all of them. Yes she was still tiny compared to almost all of the town's population. I continued to watch her until the sun stared peeking out and then I finally tore myself away from my mate and when back to my house. Even though my back and legs were sore from staying in the same position for to long, I was still tempted to stay. Just so I didn't have to let her out of my sight so soon.

I know its really short, but I felt like it should stop here I'll try and make the next upload longer  to make up for it. Be sure to vote, comment, and fan. < just have to say I read that in a very weird voice in my head.
