It All Started With A Book: 3

Thalia is slowly strolling down the hallway to the direction of her classroom. As she reach her classroom,she was met face to face with the boy she wanted to see.

“Thalia,”Nathan started.”We can share the book for the last chapter later.”

“How did you know I didn’t finish it?”

“Just a guess,I guess,”he replied.

Thalia smiled at him.”I guess so.”

“So later.”

“Later.”

Thalia can’t hide her excitement for later.

After the last period,Thalia and Nathan rushed to the library to read the last chapter.

They take a seat on the table located on the secluded area in the library.

As they read,Thalia can’t help herself to sniff the cologne Nathan wears. The scent was actually apples. Which Thalia loves.

Fifteen minutes later,they finally finish the book. Smiles etched on their faces as they once again finished a good book.

Nathan returned the book to the rightful hand and started to walk out of the library with her.

“So,”Nathan started as they got out of the campus.”This is goodbye.”

“Not a goodbye. Just a see you later or tomorrow again.”

“Yeah. I like that.”

Nathan’s house is just a walking distance from the school while Thalia’s a few distance away that she needs to ride a bus.

They wave at each other goodbye. Thalia watch Nathan run away from her.

Nathan abruptly came into a halt and turn around to look at her. ”You should know,you’re beautiful. And I have a crush on you even before,”he shyly confessed.

Thalia can’t stop herself from blushing and the butterflies that are wildly fluttering in her stomach.

Again,Thalia found herself om the farthest back on the bleachers reading a newly borrowed book.

“Mind if I share?”

She knows that voice,the scent that is emanating from the person. And as she turn her head,she’s right.

It was 3 days ago the last time she saw her newlyfound crush,Nathan. She was giddy as Nathan again stands in front of him and smiling.

“Sure!”she said,too much ecstatic.

They sat side by side. Shoulder to shoulder. Thalia’s blush seems to crept up from her cheek down to her neck.

It spread some more when Nathan hold her hands and whisper on her ear.”More books to read with you?”

“Yes,”she croaked.

Her face reddens more. More than you can imagine when Nathan whisper again. ”Will you go on a date with me?Just a friendly date.”

This time,she faced him.”I’d love to,”she said without hesitation. No doubts.

She kiss his cheeks,lingering for a while. It was Nathan’s turn to flush.

She thought that all because of a book, a new friendship bloomed. And a new love started to build. All because of a book,they have got this far.
