I did A LOT of changes in the last chapters. This story happened after Christmas break not after summer.

*Charlie's POV*
The day went by really fast and before I even realized it, I was back in Niall's car. The car ride feels really awkward and I don't know why.
Niall stopped at a red light and after a few seconds I've had enough of this awkward atmosphere. "So, anything new that happened today?" I tried to start a conversation.
He turned his head to look at me for a second and then stared back at the road. There was another pause.
"Nothing; same old, same old" He shrugged as the light turned green and started to drive again.

"Thanks for the ride Niall. You sure you don't want to come in for a while?" I asked as I leaned into the car window.
"No, it’s fine. I'll pick you up again tomorrow. Make sure to wake up before I get there" He teased clearly talking about what happened this morning.
"Whatever you say, Horan" I patted the car door and leaned back to wave goodbye at him. He gave a short wave and drove off.
I sighed and walked into my house. "Mum? I'm home!"
"In here, Charlie!" I followed mum's voice to the kitchen and saw her leaning her elbow on the counter with her back facing me.
"Mum, I'm so sorry for not saying goodbye properly awhile ago" I hugged her waist from behind.
"It’s okay, Charlie, but next time try and get up earlier. Okay, hun?" Mum turned around and held on my arms. I nodded my head. "Good, now let's go eat dinner" She kissed my forehead and walked up to the table and sat down with me following right behind her.
"So, anything new?" Mum decided to start a conversation after a long peaceful silence.
I swallowed the food in my mouth and answered. "Nothing, Mom. Same old, same old" I smiled slightly noticing that our conversation is so much like what Niall and I had just moments ago.
After finishing my dinner, I stood up and placed my plate on the sink. "Well Mom, your pasta is still the best in the world and I'm gonna go to my room now, Mrs. Evans gave us a lot of things to do".
"It’s fine, honey. Go!" Mum smiled at me as she placed her plate on the sink.
I smiled back and head upstairs.

The next day....
"Wow! Who are you and what have you done to my best friend" Niall gasped playfully as I entered his car; right on time.
"I have duct taped her inside her bathroom. I'm her doppelganger; I am here to replace Charlie." I kept my face as emotionless as I could.
