Beginnings

I dramatically collapsed on my bed. My brother walked in and gave me a look.
"What Jacob." I snapped. Yep, that's right. The Jacob Sartorius is my brother. We used to look a lot alike and people thought we were twins. That was until I dyed my hair darker. He's older than me by 11 months. See, I'm going into high school this year but thankfully I didn't miss the cut off since my birthday is August 30 2003. I'm one of the youngest kids in my grade. It's annoying.
"HELLO?!?!" Jacob shouted at me.
"ITS MEEEEE!!" I sang. He gave me the really look and I punched him lightly. 
"Mom wants to know what you want for lunch."
"Uhhh idk."
"I don't know doesn't get you anything, em." Jacob said.
"True." I looked down at my phone. Snapchat from Brennan. Of course😂.
"Who dat?"
"Oh it's just Brennan."
"Hey wanna go for a walk?" Jacob suggested.
"Actually yeah. I need to clear my thoughts."
"Do we need to talk?"
"Probably." I said laughing. Me and Jacob are extremely close. We were inseparable growing up. And we still are.
"So what's going on with Bren?"
"What do you mean?"
"When you got that snap from him, you were smiling."
"I was..?"
"Yeah. Like an idiot."
"Hey let's go to the park."
"Okay. Wait are you changing the subject?!"
"Duh." I said, rolling my eyes. I climbed a tree and sat at the top. I stared at the two baseball diamonds. I felt the branch shake a little so I'm guessing Jacob climbed the tree.
"I miss him." I said and turned to Jacob.
"I know you do. But he's looking down at you, right now, and always."
I smiled at Jacob and turned towards the field.
"I remember coming here and just running the bases with Caleb. And coming here to cheer him on when he was playing."
Just then I saw Annie, Hayley, Paige, Mr. Billy, and Ms. Katie appear. I'm not surprised to see them here since it's Caleb's birthday.
"Hey!" We both shouted.
"Oh hi em and j!" Ms. Katie said. She was vlogging. We jumped down from the tree to go say hi. I walked towards Annie, Hayley, and Paige.
"Hiii!" I said as I hugged them. Katie and Billy came over and I hugged them.
"So what are you doing here?" Katie asked.
"Same reason you're here."
"Aw how nice of you and Jacob."
I nodded and smiled.
"Well we'll leave you guys here so you can your time."
"No you're fine."
"We have to go anyways. Mom texted." Jacob said.
"Oh okay so we'll see you later."
"Yeah take care guys!"
"Bye!"
We started walking towards are house.
"Can we go back later?" I asked Jacob.
"Yeah." He said.
He took a long sigh.
"Whattttt." I said dragging out the t.
"You never answered my question."
"About what?"
"The Brennan thing."
I mentally rolled my eyes, "I don't know, I just saw a different side of him, like more than a brother."
"Wait you like Brennan?!" Jacob exclaimed.
"Maybe I don't know." I said frustrated. I saw Jacob smirk and I smacked him. We got home and Jacob went running to mom.
"Can Brennan sleepover? And Katie for Em?"
"Ya I don't care."
I was waiting by the stairs and he flew up the stairs. He tackled me down on accident because of how fast he was running.
"Jacob what the hell?! I tell you I may like someone and you go running to mom and ask for them to stay over?!"
He shrugged and told me to FaceTime Katie.
"Hey girl wassup."
"Heyyyyy. Are you doing anything tonight and tommorow?"
"Nope. Why?"
"Well you should sleepover!"
"Omg yaaaaaaaassssssss gurlll."
"Lit. When will you be over?"
"Katie I'm going over to Jacobs for the night." Brennan shouts.
"WAITT!"
"Jesus Katie!" I laughed. She smiled into the camera and turned her attention to Brennan.
"What Katie." Brennan said exasperated.
"I'm going over too."
"Oh." He said.
"So imma go but I'll see you in a few."
"Kk bye Katie!!" And I ended the call.
