"Yeah I'm fine" I say as I rub my head and stand up.

"What happened to your-"

A middle eastern man grabs everyone's attention by saying, "We've got to get food before night falls or we'll all die."

A chubby guy with curly brown hair spoke up, "But Sayid, we have enough airplane food. We have granola bars, crackers, salads-"

"Hurley that will not feed 48 people. We need more food or we'll run out. We should make groups to search for food. Don't go too far into the jungle unless you wanna risk getting lost."

"Sayid's right," Jack said, "We need group leaders so no one will get lost. A few groups will go into the jungle and the rest of everyone will stay on the beach. Just continue to sort things out to see if we'll be able to use them. We don't know how long it'll be til we get help so we need to be organized as one. Alright, Charlie, Sawyer, Hurley, Kate will be part of my group. Who else is going to be leading?"

"I'll lead a group, Jin, Micheal, Bernard, Rose, you come with me." Sayid said as he grabbed his book bag.

"I'll take a group."

We all turned to the voice as an old man with a scar over his left eye walked forward.

"Who the hell are you mate?" Charlie spoke for us all wondering the same thing.

The man smiled and grabbed a knife from his pocket.

"My name is John Locke."

"I'll take my chances with Locke." An Arab girl with a headscarf named Sadia walked forward. We had seats next to each other on the plane. That seemed like an eternity ago.

"Good." Locke smiled approvingly, "Anyone else brave enough?"

I stepped forward, but Boone stopped me.

"Are you crazy? You injured your left hand. You're supposed to rest."

"I can still help out with my right hand, and besides I'm going into that jungle, I've made up my mind."

"Fine I'll go with you, just to make sure you don't end up hurting your OTHER hand."

I roll my eyes as we both walk over.

"I'm not sure if that's the best idea Rumaysa." Jack called out.

"I tried telling her, but she won't-"

"I'll be fine Jack." I say as I glare at Boone.

A girl named Libby and a man named Dr Arzt who claimed he could spot any poisonous fruit we see soon accompanied us.

"Ow you stepped on my toe!" Dr. Arzt complained.

"Maybe you should walk faster instead of staring at random plants." Boone retorted.

"Calm down you two. Just because our plane crashed on an island doesn't mean we start unnecessary arguments." Libby pointed out.

Dr. Arzt grumbled "Pretty boy over here started it by stepping on my-"

"Shhhhh!" Locke said and we all stopped walking.

"Do you hear that?" He said as he stared into the sky.

"Hear what?" I asked.

Just then a loud growl came from somewhere near us. Everything was too quiet.

The grass moved and a wild boar jumped out. Locke quickly stabbed it in the neck and stopped moving before it could reach us.

"Theres our dinner." Locke said, with a smile.
