She stands with the crowd
Her colours flying, her love at her side.
She feels like she belongs,
It is as if the world truly does care, even for a moment.
She marched with others,
Proud to be what she is.
Proud to love the woman at her side.
A rainbow flying about her head.
But there are other colours flying too.
Pink,blue, purple.
White, grey and black.
Yellow and red.
Orange too.
This is the colour that the world is keen to erase.
Just to keep to it's black and white regime.
For there are those who still believe
That love can only be between a man and woman.
And there is no in between.
She is proud to stand against the current.
To display her colour for all to see.
She is not afraid to love.
