"Alright, Leanna. Your ribs have healed and although you're still having knee complications, you're free to go. But you may have to have an operation to fix your knee if you have anymore pain; it was busted up pretty badly. You'll need intense physical therapy back in Cali." The surgeon smiled at me as Niall and Liam helped me into a wheelchair. I nodded to acknowledge what she said. Harry rolled me to the end of the hall and stopped at the window. I looked up at him. "What're you doing? Where'd the guys go?" I asked, noticing everyone had basically disappeared.
Harry pointed out the window, not saying a word. Zayn reappeared and grabbed my elbow to help me up. I looked out the window to see a large crowd of girls, I assumed Directioners. I was so confused, then they screamed, "We ship it!" and held letters above their head that spelled: MARRY ME?
As corny and cheesy as it was, I was in awe. I gasped and my eyes filled with tears. Arms wrapped around my waist from behind. "Well?" Niall asked in a soft, raspy voice. I covered my mouth as tears flowed down my face. I nodded, speechless. He laughed and turned me around so we could hug.

I set my head on my arms as the wind blew through my hair. Niall was in the driver's seat, humming "Hey L.A." as we cruised past the Hollywood sign. I sighed contently and gazed at my engagement ring. "Happy to be back, babe?" Niall asked, looking at me and smiling as he stopped for a red light. I tilted my head at him and smiled back. "Very. I'm glad you aren't mad I kept our relationship from you." The light turned green and he looked away. "Well, you were on my mind the entire time you were gone. Barbara was acting weird a lot, like really forceful and demanding. My memory slowly started coming back, and she got worse in her actions."
He paused. "Then what?" I prompted gently. "Well, then one night I had a dream about us, and that morning it all came back to me. Barbara was furious and tried to make you look bad for not telling me; trying to make me mad at you. But I understood why you didn't want me to know, even though all the feelings rushed back along with my memories. That's why Barbara didn't want me to come. I broke it off with her, because I knew-- know-- my heart belongs to you."
