I know You've been broken

//I am searching for you in the dark, I find you alone, broken, crying. I'm drinking your tears, you're drinking my power. We're sharing the same pain. The same music is fixing us both. All you need is my help. All I need is to help you. I'm not like them. If you hurt me, I won't leave you.//

The girl was shivering. Her eyes were wild and lost. Her gaze wondered to the abyss under our feet. I didn't want to watch her plummeting to her death. Not again. Not like...

I'm raging against the storm, crossing the bridge. Leave them behind and I'll show you what you deserve. It's not love, we're not living a fairytale. It is not a lie nor is it the truth. It's the world as it should be. Please take my hand, the weather is getting worse. Let's find shelter!

Her expression was alarming. She seemed to be at peace with what she was going to do next. I tried to reach for her but caught myself. I might scare her, I don't want to push her. She needs my help. So I try my best with words.

Just please don't jump. I know that the bridge is unsteady and the storm around us washes over our cold bones, throwing us into despair, but I beg you to hold on. I beg you to cross the bridge with me, head for safety, settle in a warm place with a cup of hot tea in our hands and talk.

Her expression softens. She looks at me bewildered as if she was seeing me for the first time. We were standing in the rain for over 2 hours.

Has it gotten dark? Is your mind and soul that dark that you can't sleep because even the night is too bright for you? Look at me! I'm a mess like you. I know what you're going through. I've been standing in your spot 3 years ago. Please don't let me fail again.

She frowns and turns to listen.

Better off as being dead? I don't know you, but I know you've gotten cold too. I have no idea about your past or what you've been through but please come with me and help me understand. I need you. You need me. Please don't...

The girl turns back to her plan. Her eyes are empty. I scream at her to stop. She let's go of the banister.

You asked what kind of world does that. This world. The world you belong to. So let's leave this world together.

I climb next to her and take her hand. She tears herself away from me and throws me a look full of raging anger.

'What the hell do you think you're doing? Leave me alone! I want to die alone!'

Well that can't happen. I will stay here with you until you decide to climb back and cross the bridge with me.
