Dear Diary:

I actually have something more interesting to share today. I got stranded in an alleyway with my baby girl and the rain was at fault.

I remember thinking that I didn't care about me but Himawari couldn't get sick, I couldn't bear the thought of her being sick so I stayed there and waited for the rain to stop, which never happened. I remember the water spraying closer to my body with every minutes and my girl shivering under the protection of my coat that was cocooning her around my chest.

I was getting impatient but the droplets only came stronger from the sky. After something like thirty minutes or an hour, the sound of quiet, almost inaudible, steps echoed inside the alleyway, shoes splashing the water informed me that the person was getting closer.

Himawari whimpered in my arms when the person stopped in front of us in complete silence, their face blurry thanks to the rain.

"Good Afternoon" I said in hopes that the person would address me as well. Said person only nodded in our direction and took something out of their coat before handing it to me.

A little wary, I reached out and circled my hand to what I realized, was a n umbrella. My head lifted and my lips parted in order to show my gratitude but the person had already vanished. The only clue that they were really present was the forest green umbrella that my hand was holding.

I came home after that, got into a hot bath with my daughter and put her in bed. But, for some reason, I can't forget that person. Who were they? I must search in order to return the umbrella and say my thanks. The only thing I know about them at this instant is that, they're ninja.

See you next time,
Hinata
