Unwanted Mate

Chapter 5 • First Look

Nina's POV

I stare at myself in my full length mirror, my brown hair is falling just past my shoulders in loose curls. I'm wearing a black off the shoulder paisley embroidered dress. The paisley pattern matches my red ankle wrap sandals, the black background of my dress match my velvet choker necklace. I finish putting on my red lipstick and take one final look. This is what he will be looking at when he first sees me. Like it or not Prince William this is me.

I can't believe this is happening. I'm going to the Alpha's mansion to have dinner with my mate. My mate. Well not to mention my mate will be there but so will Alpha Monté, Luna Stella, Jonah, and Gwen. I have come to a conclusion on what my terms of dating will be.
1. Will is not allowed to see anyone besides me and vice versa.
2. He will become friends with my friends and vice versa.
3. We will hang out at both of our houses equally.
4. I do not want to be pressured into anything I'm not comfortable with.
Being pulled out of my trance Jonah's voice booms through the house
"Nina! Let's go we don't want to be late!"

"I'm coming!" I glance at the clock and it reads 5:32.

We get into Gwen's new Mercedes Benz and drive to the Alpha's Mansion.

Will's POV

The clock read 5:44 she should be close now. I'm a type of person very aware of the time, I don't ever want to be late to something that matters to me. I am wearing a black button up with the sleeves pushed up to my elbows. My hair is freshly cut and slicked back with a few strands hanging over my eyes.

Tonight will be monumental. I have something extravagant planned. I want to prove to her that I am serious about us. I'm as serious as death.

I need to be in check with my wolf tonight. I can't let Chann take over. I don't want to scare her off, she already doesn't like me. Her birthday is in 3 days, I can wait that long.

I hear a car pull up and hear doors open and shut.
My mate is here.

Nina's POV

My palms are sweaty as we pull up to this magnificent mansion. I don't know if I'm scared or excited. My wolf is happy and is purring with excitement. I know my birthday is in 3 days and I know that then my mate pull will be strong but my human side still wants to take things slow.

We walk up to the door and Luna Stella opens it.

With a cheery voice, she greets us.
"Oh welcome Jonah, Gwen, and of course the beautiful Nina." She opens the door wider and motions for us to come in.

Will is leaning against the doorframe of what I assume is the dining room. This is the first time I have ever really looked at him. He is stunning, every hair on his head is placed perfectly. Those blue eyes pull me in as he saunters over to me.

"Hi, Nina." He holds out his hand to take mine.

"Um hey Will." I shakily place my hand into his and he brings it to his lips and leaves a small kiss, it feels like fireworks have gone off when his skin is on mine. It fades after he drops my hand, I can't help but be a little sad.

"I have been looking forward to seeing you, to talk about things." My voice is barely a squeak. Geez, girl man up.

His face has a glint of worry. So I add something to ease his mind.

"It's great to see you. You look nice Will. I don't think I've ever seen you in something... formal." My voice is more confident.

"You look beautiful, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen." He stares into my eyes.

I feel my cheeks flush and I suddenly notice how much skin I am showing.  As he eyes me up and down my stomach does a flip.

"Oh thank you Will." I sheepishly smile back. I have never been spoken to like this. I don't know how to act around him.

"Let's go ahead and get started, welcome everyone." Alpha Monté speaks over us.

We file into the dining room and take our seats. Alpha Monté is seated at the head of the table and Jonah at the other end. Gwen is to Jonah's right and I'm on the left. Luna Stella is sitting to the left of Alpha Monté. Will is sitting next to me and to the right of his father.

Will can't keep his eyes off me and I know I am blushing. It feels like everyone's eyes are on us, heck everyone is starting at us.

I clear my throat.
"So I know that I am not 17 but I know that I am Wills mate and he is mine." My voice sounds poised, but on the inside I am unsure.

"And thank the Moon Goddess for that!" Will says in excitement. Man, he is so dreamy. I need to learn to trust him.

"But there need to be a few ground rules considering your past Will." I turn towards him. Since when have I become so straight forward?

"I completely agree, I know you need to learn to trust me. I am 100% down and I really want.. no scratch that... I need this to work." His eyes are sincere and it gives me hope.

Alpha Monté grabs Luna Stella's hand. He looks over at Jonah.
"And we are more than welcome to the idea of you and your pack becoming apart of ours, we can even give you the position of Delta."

I feel a sting in my heart, Jonah's dream has been to make something of his pack.

Jonah looks back into the Alpha's eyes.
"I will consider it. But I have hope for my pack, we are stronger than you think." He ends his sentence with a chuckle.

"So to lighten the mood, what are we having for dinner?"
