"Sometimes happiness is found in the most unusual places. A train station, a fast food restaurant, or even a comment on a blog that you follow. In those same places, love is also born."

The smell of coffee lured me into the shop, the warmth hitting me as I stepped into the doors. A tiny chime followed after my entrance, notifying the workers a new costumer has arrived.
The bitterness of the early morning that had just woken mere minutes ago had washed away, as I stand in the line of people waiting for a warm cup of coffee.
It was the beginning of September, and fall chill had set in early this year. The crisp cold air from outside the coffee shop still niped at my warming fingertips. It was hard to believe that only three months ago, I was still in high school, giggling and laughing with my friends. Now, I was starting my freshman year of college. It was unbelievable, actually.
As I finally warmed, I took my thick sweater off and hung it over my arm. I pulled off my hat to let my brunette hair fall from its curly abyss. I stepped towards the counter, meeting the employees icy blue eyes. "Hi, how may I help you?" She smiled. Her voice was small, but loud enough that you wouldn't have to strain to hear her. "Yes, can I have an hazelnut coffee please? With whip cream. 2 sugars and 1 creamer." I say. Her face pales a little, and I can only assume she's new here. "I can just have regular coffee if  you want, to make it easier on you." I suggest. She shakes her head. "No no, it's fine. I got this." She turns and grabs a medium sized cup, setting it down under the machine.
With a click of a few buttons, the coffee pours out into the cup. As the coffee settles, steam comes from the cup. She then goes to the whip cream parf of the machine, and yanks it rather roughly. Suddenly, whip cream spurts out, covering her hands and overflowing the coffee. "Oh crap!" She yells. She goes to push the handle back up, only for it to be stuck. I run behind the counter to help, as she attempts to stop the flow with her hands. I try pushing the handle upward with force, but it's jammed due to the force she put on it earlier.

Hearing our desperate cries and confusion, a worker comes out, wide eyed. Slightly pushing us out the way, he clicks a button behind the handle and pulls it up, causing the flow to stop. He turns his attention to the blonde haired worker, arms crossed with an angered look. "I may have pushed the handle down to hard...?" She says, her already petite form shrinking down under his gaze.

Stepping in, I apologize. "I'm sorry sir, it's my fault. I may have asked for a somewhat difficult order, considering she's a new worker." I say. He turns his gaze to me. "No ma'am, my apologies. Please, let me offer you a free coffee, on the house." He states, already working on one. I give the girl a sad smile, and head out the shop.

After returning home and taking a shower to rid of the sticky massacre covering my body, I relaxed on the couch and begin watching Netflix.

A ding rang from my phone, capturing the attention away from the screen.
I

t was from my boyfriend, Dean. We've been together for 3 years, he was my first everything.

Dean: Hey, babe! I can't make it to the movies tonight, I have to work a late shift tonight. What about next week Friday?

Recently, Dean has been distant, almost avoiding me. He got a recent internship with an record label, and had been busy with work ever since. I wasn't going to hold anything against him, It's understandable. It would be nice if he paid attention to me a little more, though. The clashing of swords and the distant shouts of battle cries bring me back to reality, and my attention went back to the T.V.

**edit: I literally had to come back all the way from chapter (It's already written) to delete a whole 2 paragraphs because it didn't match with the rest of the story, and didn't make since. I haven't wrote an actual story in a while, so I'm a lil rusty. Pls forgiveme
