ISABEL'S POV

I spent the rest of the day unpacking my things and strolling around the house and the garden. Yep we have a huge garden surrounding our house that fit perfectly around the structure of it.

Today is now the day of the party and everyone is rushing about busily, my mom too. She went down to Royal Hall about an hour ago to see that everything was organized and set into place.

My father is in Georgia at the time but he's flying in tonight for the party. This party must be one hell of an important one because all of my relatives are coming.

I still didn't know what it was all for though and it was really bothering me.

I looked out from my bedroom balcony as everyone shouted and ran up and down. Suddenly an idea came to mind.

I went through my drawer and found a pack of balloons and filled them with water, tying them so they're secure.

Now you can probably guess what I was about to do.

I grabbed as many as I could and walked back over to the balcony. I waited till someone passed from right under me and dropped a balloon then ducked.

I heard a splash and an angry growl. I chuckled.

Let the game begin.

I was all out of balloons and my tummy hurt after all that laughing.

I heard a knock from my door and I opened it to see Vivian. I let her in and sat down on my bed.

"Your mother sent this dress for you to wear tonight ma'am and these matching shoes with the various accessories."

"Oh thank you Vivian," I smiled taking them from her.

I admired the dress. It was a long royal blue dress. It had a slightly deep cutting at the front and  silver halter backs and a cutting below at the back. It was beautiful. I loved it and the shoes matched perfectly.

"Alright I'll leave you to it then. The party starts at 6:00 so your mother expects you to be ready by then," she said turning around heading for the door.

"Wait."

"Yes?"

"Um what's this party for? I mean, my mom never told me. Why is it so important?"

She shifted uncomfortably, a frown appearing on her face, "I'm sorry it's not my place to say."

"Please."

I needed to know.

"This is your engagement party ma'am," she said quietly.

Say what now? Engagement? I wasn't engaged.

"Excuse me? I'm not engaged."

"Well you are and have been for a while. You see, your parents made a deal with your fiancé's father that when you turn 18, you'll be married to his son. Your parents were going through financial difficulties so they had to accept."

"What the- wait why hasn't my mom told me about this?"

"I don't know."

"But doesn't my so called 'fiancé' have to propose before he is actually my fiancé? And doesn't he have a say in all this? I'm sure he feels the same way as I do. Heck, I don't even know the guy. My parents are marrying me to a complete stranger!"
