I head to my next class smiling. It isn't until what I see in the hallway that ruins my mood.

It's Matt, Gi's boyfriend, eating Christina's aka the local slut's face off.

I walk right up to the pair and pull Matt off of her, immediately slapping him.

"You're such a dick!" I scream at him, and now everyone in the hallway is watching. Gi walks up and her face is pale, staring at the three of us.

"What's happening?" her voice is shaky.

"Nothing babe-" Matt starts.

"I've been having sex with your boyfriend for 3 months. Guess I'm just a lot more satisfying." she smirks, only for me to find my fist sailing towards her nose. She brings her hand up to her face, shocked. There's blood. I look at my fist confused, I can't believe I just did that. I look back up at Christina to find her fist flying towards me. That's it.

"Bitch!" I yell. I punch her again, this time in the gut. She hunches over and kicks me. One of her cronies, Mildred comes over and punches me in the stomach. I collapse on the ground as both girls start kicking and punching me.

Then everything turns black.

I wake up in the nurses office and I look around to find Gi and my dad sitting there, along with Grayson. Why is he even in here?

"Brooke I'm taking you home now. You're in big trouble young lady. Fighting? Really? What has gotten into you?" My father says sternly.

"Of course you only want to be a parent when it makes you look good." I spit, glaring at him. I see Grayson shift in his seat uncomfortably, and Gi avert her eyes from the situation. I sit up as my father stares at me.

"And what exactly is that supposed to mean?" He questions, giving me a chance. I don't take it.

"It means you're a shit father who married a shit woman. Seriously. She's a total bitch and I hear you two having sex almost every night. Honestly. She's young enough to be my fucking sister." I say heatedly as Gi and Grayson stand up.

"We should let you two talk." Gi says as they walk out. I roll my eyes and look at my father, waiting for an answer.

"Phone." my father says.

"What?" I question.

"Give me your phone." He says through gritted teeth. Yeah, I don't think so.

"No."

"What?" he's surprised. Really?

"No. I pay for this phone, I bought it with my own money that I worked for with my job. It's mine." See, he's too cheap to buy his own daughter a cellphone, or even my car. I pay for my own stuff because as soon as I turn 18 I'm gone. Hasta la vista baby. I don't want anything tying me down.

My father rolls his eyes. "Let's go."

"No." I say, my voice stony.

"Brooke. Come on." he looks dead into my eyes.

"No." I don't break.

"Fine. Have fun finding a place to sleep tonight." He storms out of the room. I walk out into the hallway to find Gi talking to Grayson. She looks at me and winces.

"Is it that bad?" I reach up to my face. Ouch. That's a black eye.

"We heard everything." She informs me. Shit. I didn't want Grayson to think of me like that. What am I saying? I barely know the dude. Do I want to know him?
