"Whoa there Gacie you scared me," Blake said clutching where his heart is and pretending to gasp for air. I le out a small giggle as he pulled a blake shirt over his torse. "What's up Grace?" I may be a seveteen year old girl but I am patheic when it comes to hair. " Can you pull up my hair into a ponytail and tie a ribion around it?" Yes I asked my eighteen year old brother to do my hair but he's so good at it. He chuckled and walked my way and began tugging my hair out of its braid. When he was done I jumped up and went to his closet pulling out his bright green underarmer jacket and shrugging it over my body. "Sure Grace you can borrow it," he rolled his eyes playfully I gave him a beaming grin as dad called us down. I hummed softly as dad drove on and on to wherever we were eating when I jumped and let out a small scream. "What's wrong," my dad yelled slamming on breaks. " I forgot to call mom," I said sheepishly. He huffed in annoyance and took off down the road again as I dialed my mom's number. "Gracelyn Addison," my mother began. "Sorry mommy we had to get ready to go out to dinner," when I called her mommy her tones always softens because it reminds her of when I was a littmy le girl. "It's fine did you unpack how are you is Blake okay," She rambled just like any other moms would do. "I'm fine Blake's fine no we have not unpacked we will tomorrow." She always so worried about us since my accident I'm sure given her way we would never leave. " Alright baby call me after dinner momma loves you." I grinned knowing she wasn't mad at me anymore. " We love you too mommy." I hung up and snuggled into Blake as he typed away on his phone. "We're here kids," Shelly clasped her hands together, kids, she isn't much older than Blake! I know why my parents divorced he always cheated on her and one day he knocked someone up on one of his 'business' trips. That girl was Shelly my dad's new wife he had knocked her up with twins and he ran from us, his real life. Where I was ten and Blake was eleveen, he destoryed us it tooks months for my mom to be a okay again. Seven years later and my mom still wont date, sure she's gorgeous and has her dates but she never returns their calls. I hoped out of the car as Blake awaited me and we walked into the glass doors behind Shelly and my father. The place was fancy but not so fancy its like suits and dress just more than a fast food place. We were seated at a table that already had a couple at it, maybe in their late forties. "John, Mandy," my father smiled pecking the ladies cheek and giving a hand shake to the man. "These are my kids Blake and Gracelyn," he turned and gestured to us before taking a seat. Blake and I took our seats on the other side of the table. "Yes, I've heard so many things well Daniel and Katherine should be here soon." I tuned them out and looked at the menu ordering a water and skimmed through the menu. Chicken tenders sounded divine right about now, I sipped on my water as we waited for the couples kids to arrive. I glanced up as I see a guy with a leather jacket slung over one shoulder with green eyes and black hair. Next to him was a girl with similar features but in a skirt and crop top. "These are my kids Daniel and Katherine," the man, John, gestured similar to my dad's hand motion. Blake studied Daniel like he had seen him somewhere but just couldn't pinpoint where. Daniel wore a similar expression to Blake's as he took a seat next to me making me tense up. Blake grabbed my chair out of reflex and scooted my closer to him. "Are ya'll ready to order or need a few more minutes," our waiter asked looking at my dad. " A few more minutes please," Mandy answered for him giving her kids a few more minutes to look over the menu. " I'm Katherine," the small girl said it was obvious it was directed at Blake just by the way she batted her eyelashes. "Blake and this is my sister Grace." He looked unfazed by her her flirting and it was hardcore, she looked like she belonged on a street in Las Vegas. "It's nice to meet you how long will you be in town?" Not long enough for him to get in your pants,I wanted to retort but that wasn't me, the was the old me. The new Gracelyn was quiet and kept to herself, wasn't rude and didn't do bad things. " Just until the end of August," Blake responded just as the waiter came back he began taken all our orders. " I'll have the chicken tenders," I glanced at Blake and he frowned at me but kept quiet and didn't say anything about my choice in dinner. As the adults made small talk we kept quiet, I think Blake was tired of being hit on and Daniel didn't speak much. The silence that fell over us was like a gift and I took the time to check Daniel out, making me feel awkward. I don't lie, which means I had to admit Daniel looked good enough to eat, his leather jacket gave him the right dose of mysterious us girls longed for. I couldn't have seen anyone better looking than him, he was better looking than Leonardo DiCaprio, someone I have an unhealthy obession about. I suddenly was intuned to the fact that we were really close and my hands became clamy and my throat began to dry out. I reached for my water and furiously drank it down trying to gain the moisture back in my throat. Daniel gave me a curious look as I franticly drinking the water. "Slow down there speedy you're going to choke," the sound of his warning actually made me joke and he started patting my back as I joked on mear water. " Are you ok?" Everyone seemed to ask at once as Blake attempted to clean my mouth and table. I nodded but chose not to speak incase I embarassed myself anymore in front of this walking God. The waiter came back setting our food in front of us and refilling our drinks before disappearing again. I was very aware of Blake's eyes watching my every move as I tore off bit by bit sticking the chicken in my mouth. After finishing one piece of chicken I felt sick, so I slide my plate to Blake as he took off the chicken without my dad or Shelly seeing. Finally our waiter brought out the check and John told my dad it was on him. "Tomorrow how about Daniel and Katherine show the kids around and spend some time at the beach," Mandy asked. Shelly quickly agreed and turned to my father listing off why that was a good idea but I turned to Blake with a look of horror. Water and I weren't friends, not at all we both held so much hatred for one another. "Sounds wonderful," my dad grinned at us. " It's alright I think we just want to unpack and rest tomorrow," Blake tried to reason with our father. " Nonesense, we can pick you up around nine," Katherine butted in with her opinion. "Sounds fabulous," Shelly clasped her hands together in exictement. "I wont let you get near the water," Blake whispered as we walked towards the car. " Maybe I can say I'm working on my tan," we began working on excuses to keep me far away from the water. We arrived home and I walked upstairs to unpack my belongings and sign onto the wifi. I walked backed into the bathroom and took out my contacts and put on my glasses. I changed into my pajamas and settled into my bed with my macbook. I logged onto NetFlix and went straight to the Titanic as I launched myself into Rose and Jack's tragic love story. I couldn't stop the tears as Rose let go of Jack and he sunk into the ocean soon I was sobbing. I reached for a tissue wiping my eyes before shutting off NetFlix and curling up into my covers.
