Dead Dream

Ren's P.O.V:

I ran towards my house to see that the front door has been destroyed. Even from the outside, I could hear things crashing and people yelling. 

"COME BACK HERE YOU LIL' PIECES OF SHIT!" I hear a familiar voice yell.

That voice...was filled with hate and anger, but I knew exactly whose voice it's from...Haru. 

I felt so much fear as I rushed inside to look for the twins. I looked everywhere downstairs and as I was about to head upstairs, I could see blood leading up to the twins' room. With a bit of hesitation, I ran to that room. I threw the door open to see Haru stabbing Shima in the stomach as Aki's head was on the bed. 

I wanted to throw up, but I didn't.

I wanted to cry, but I couldn't.

Yet...I was able to see the horrid things Haru did to the twins. I was frozen and my eyes were wide open. I just...allowed myself to watch the twins die in Haru's hands. I didn't even say or do anything but watch. 

Stab! 

Shima cries for me to help him.

Stab!

He tries crawling away from Haru.

Stab!

He screams loudly as the knife hits his back.

Stab!

The color drains from his eyes as his soul leaves his body.

Stab...

Stab...

STAB!

My eyes flew open and I sit straight up, clutching my arms around my chest. That was the most realistic nightmare I ever had.

"Ren?" 

The sound of Natsu's voice somehow calmed me down a bit as I see him walk toward me from the kitchen.

"Hey, are you okay? What happened?"

"I-I had a n-nightmare..."

I feel Natsu's hand pat my head gently before hugging me. 

"Do you want me to stay with you until you sleep?"

Even though Natsu is being surprisingly nice, I nod my head as I softly cry on his shoulder.

"T-They're dead..."

"What?"

"In t-the nightmare...the twins d-died because of Haru...and I couldn't save them..." I cry harder.

"That's just a nightmare Ren. Don't cry because I know that they'll be alright. Just think about anything besides that nightmare. I'm here to help okay? The twins won't die. I know they won't so believe me okay?"

"Okay..."

"Good...now close your eyes and think positive."

I do so and I quickly fall asleep.

Natsu's P.O.V: 

Poor kid...He must have been through so much. 

I let go and lay him back down on the couch while wiping some tears he still had. I put the blanket back on him and patted his head. Then, I go back to my room to sleep and hope that Ren won't have another nightmare. 

The twins won't die Ren. I'll make sure of it so don't worry...
