I smirked and watched as the young vampire Josh tried to bleed another vampire out, he was pitifully stabbing the shackled vampire with a knife which made me want to laugh, Klaus, on the other hand, was getting impatient, Rebekah and Hayley were on his back about getting Elijah and he was trying, but Marcel was stalling for some reason.
"Good. You manage Sophie Deveraux. I'll take care of the next step" Klaus said hanging up on his sister he turned to Josh who was trying to stab through the shackled vampire's shirt, "I ordered you to drain him of blood. What's taking so long?"
"Sorry. I'm not, like, medieval torture expert guy" Josh replied making me roll my eyes, grab the nearest sharp object which happened to be a pitchfork and impaled the shackled vampire with it, which made Klaus laugh and kiss my forehead "What did he do to you guys, anyway?"
"It's not about what he did. It's about what he's going to do when we're done here, which is whatever Klaus and I want him to, just like you. For example, drive this through his torso" I said shoving the pitch fork into Josh's hands while I compelled him, and the young vampire had no choice but to obey.
"That is crazy. I didn't want to do it, but I did it anyway" Josh mumbled pulling the pitch fork out of the vampire's chest, he looked at me like I was magic, to which I laughed at.
"It's called mind compulsion. Vampires can compel humans. Originals, like my siblings, wife and I, can also compel vampires, and no one can compel Originals. You following?" Klaus asked him as he wrapped an arm around my waist, he kissed my shoulder and Josh nodded in slight understanding.
"Good," I said with a smile "That is how a brand-new Nightwalker such as yourself is here doing our bidding with no one the wiser" I shrugged slightly which made my shoulder smack into Klaus' face, as pay back he teasingly bit my shoulder.
"But I never had my guts drained out of me," Josh said in realisation as I rubbed Klaus' spit off of my shoulder and rolled my eyes at my husband as he pouted at me.
"Yes. That, young Joshua, is because I got to you before you had even a drop of herbal vervain in your system. You see, it prevents compulsion. Marcel has had his whole crew taking it since I returned to town, and that is why our friend here needs to be bled dry of it, so I can compel him to follow my every command" Klaus put his hand on Josh's shoulder gently "And with my brother currently in captivity awaiting rescue, we can't afford to be gentle about it, can we?" he gestured to me to grab the pitchfork again, which I did mainly because I wanted to cause someone pain, I shoved it into the vampire's chest and twisted it making the unconscious vampire groan in pain and Josh winced.
~~ Later That Night ~~
I stepped into the over extravagant party that Marcel was holding, and linked my arm with Klaus and Rebekah, who I convinced to join Klaus and I, "Marcel went a bit over the top with this party don't you think?" I asked as we observed a girl twirl down from the ceiling on silks.
"I need a drink" Bekah growled as she pushed her way through the crowd towards the open bar, she's been frustrated since her brush with the young and powerful witch Davina, her mood swings were getting on my nerves as she tried and failed to remember where she'd seen Elijah's coffin.
"Someone's a bit testy" I mumbled as Klaus and I stopped in front of another female who was dancing with a snake in her hands.
Klaus chuckled "I could say the same to you, love, don't think I didn't notice how much you enjoyed our outing today" he looked at me with a smug smiled and I rolled my eyes at him.
"What can I say, I learnt from the best" I winked at him and snagged a drink from a passing waiter, he chuckled and leant to whisper in my ear.
"Why thank you, love" he went to kiss me cheek but my next comment stopped him in his tracks.
"It was a pity you weren't there at the time, you could've learnt something" I downed my drink, handed him the empty glass and went to find Rebekah who was pouting in the corner of the vast room.
~~ Even Later ~~
I walked up to Klaus and Rebekah, after my forced dance with another party goer, and hooked my arm through Klaus' "you are diabolical my love" I said with a chuckle, my eyes took in Cami and Marcel slow dancing in the crowd, Marcel's face when his crush walked into the room was priceless.
"Why, thank you, darling," Klaus said sweeping me into his arms twirled me onto the dance floor and dancing with me "I haven't told you how lovely you look tonight," he said kissing my cheek gently "you are the angel to my devil" he winked at me as I laughed at his cheesy joke.
"Wow, how long were you sitting on that one?" I asked him as he winked at me with a cheeky grin, his fingers clenched on my hip and he dragged his nose along the column of my neck.
"At least 20 minutes" he mumbled kissing me jaw gently, he swayed us back and forth as we danced to our own music, the songs that Marcel had chosen for the night didn't suit us a bit so we were playing by our own rules as always.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Marcel leave Cami alone and follow his little group out of the party, making me grin, the little decoy I compelled must've worked because the look on Theirry's face was amazing, pity the vampire I helped bleed out today had to die, I could've used him to do my bidding "Something's happened" I muttered to Klaus, so it seemed like I was making a harmless observation but Rebekah, who was watching us, and Klaus knew otherwise.
"So it would seem, my love" Klaus replied, we stopped dancing and watched as Marcel pinned Theirry to the wall just inside the entrance, he looked more than pissed at the fact that Theirry broke his precious rules.
"Well, I think I might go home, see what Rebekah is up to" I pulled Klaus into a kiss, which had him moaning by the time I pulled away "see you when I get home my love" I winked at him and added an extra sway to my hips as I left the party.
