An Ajin Researcher

Time flew by when you and Tosaki were talking to each other, during that point, Shimomura had already gathered Kei and Kou "(y/n) follow me" she said when she saw you talking to Tosaki "I'm sorry to intrude your conversation Mr Tosaki" Shimomura said right after and he didn't mind since she was just doing her job

She then led you three into a room with a man sitting there smoking on a cigarette. The scent of the room also gave you that warning before you headed in, the man sat there looking at all of you "Ikuya Ogura" Kei finally said in surprise while Kou stood there in confusion "whose that?" Kou asked

"He's a researcher on American Ajins " Kei explained as you raised a brow in curiosity "and a genius" Ikuya added on when you all went to sit down in front of him, you sat quietly when Ikuya continued to talk "Your Kei Nagai the 3rd Ajin found in Japan" he stated until Kou instantly stood up "And Im Nakano, the girl sitting next to me is (y/n)" Kou said in a polite voice

"Ajins are fascinating, they some how give some worth to our meaningless lives" Ikuya said holding on to the cigarette he had fresh between his fingers Kou then sat down not even repeating since he knew Ikuya would just ignore him again which would embarrass himself in front of you and Shimomura "mind If I smoke" Ikuya showed the cigarette to us

"Actually cigarettes bother me" Kei said but Ikuya seemed to not even care at all, he lit the cigarette blowing smoke towards Kei's direction, Kei then sat there narrowing his eyes in displeasure from the scent, he then waved the smoke away from himself and you as well, he could of cared less about Kou, he sighed with annoyance but still proceeded to listen

"Nagai, why do you think that people at some point die?" Ikuya asked, he didn't pay attention to you or Kou at all he seemed more interested in Kei more than anything, as a matter of fact he didn't even know you were an Ajin yourself, he thought you were a just strong and intelligent girl whose just helping or...one of their girlfriends

"Be-cause their heart stops beating?" Kou took a gamble looking at you for reassurance but all you did was hold his hand and smiled at him to make him calm down since he was a nervous wreck "There's a limited amount of time that you can regenerate and if there's not enough time the regeneration stops and the live function sees to exis-" "Wrong" Ikuya interrupted Kei to explain

"It's because that's what the universe decided" he said turning his attention towards you who sat there thinking about it "I actually agree, honestly I don't really believe in gods or devils that control us I think those religions were just made to make us feel better about death, yet the true mastermind of our existence is the universe..." You then chuckled noticing how much you were talking about your own personal opinions

"Ogura let's stay on topic, you too (y/n), let's just get to the point" Tosaki said through the computer scaring the crap out of Kou who sat next to it, the reaction made you giggle a little which embarrassed Kou yet he liked making you smile "According to Tasaki on the other side of the screen over there, you have a rather odd IBM" Ikuya stated while you turned to look at  Tosaki who stared into the screen in shock

You giggled even more at the sight of Tosaki since Ikuya messed up his name, Everyone seemed to smile since you just couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous things going on, even Shimomura giggled a little

(Kou/Kei/Tosaki's P.O.V)

"She's so cute~" they all thought in their heads staring at you, they even blushed a little

(Your P.O.V)

"How about you show me?" Ikuya said looking dead serious, you sat there watching Kou and Kei get a bit surprised "your life could be at risk sir"
Kei warned but Ikuya had a good comeback to it "and so does these cigarettes tell me" He waited patiently until Shimomura asked him if he was ok with it "yes, how else would I fill out the patience chart" He asked Shimomura who stood there silently

"But you won't be able to see it" Kei stated, it was as if he was hesitating to summon his own Ajin in front of him
"Just go for it, I'll be able to see it" Ikuya replied, you then sat up in your chair preparing yourself for a raged Ajin, mean while Kei took a deep breath slowly summoning his IBM in front of Ikuya "This...is quite plain, the density on the other hand is quite high, it's remarkable how it's so clearly visible" He finished before the Ajin could complain

"This place is like a sweat shop, I really gotta piss" "Speak" Kei demanded the Ajin and it stopped talking, you sat there staring at the Ajin but then at Ikuya when he began to talk again "just like in the reports, it does the opposite of what it's told to do, seems mean spirited" Ikuya said making Kou laugh at the Ajin until it attacked him

Your Ajin then blocked Kou from getting stabbed "Just because someone's laughing at you doesn't mean you can take out your rage on them, you really...do have something up your ass" Your Ajin pushed Keis back, while looking around "This place reeks the smell of sweat and cigarettes"
Your IBM looked towards Kei's Ajin since it stared right back

"And it goes on auto pilot when it doesn't have any demands, truly fascinating" Ikuya watched both your Ajins "don't do something stupid next time" Your Ajin said strictly while standing there between Kou and you "it seems you have a very unique IBM, it summons itself when it wants to, and it can also speak fluent English which surprises me..." Ikuya then breathed in the toxic chemicals of the cigarette as he blew out the smoke in front of you guys

"tell me...what purpose do you serve in a humans body" Ikuya asked the IBM but your Ajin just stood there saying nothing at all "Sorry Mr Ikuya my Ajin doesn't listen to my demands, it just knows what to do to protect me in terrifying situations and only replies to Kei's Ajin more than me" you sighed in disappointment

"I only listen if its not a stupid demand, I won't ever listen to you until you know what your doing...Kei's Ajin is just a bonus because I don't like talking to humans" Your Ajin said getting a bit annoyed with you "An ajin that has emotions... Fascinating" Ikuya smiled until your Ajin nearly killed Ikuya, it's claw was just inches away from his face "Shut...Up" it said slowly being a bit more intimidating than before
