Third Person POV:
Hours passed and the duo continued to walk, Lucy's legs ached more as the scenery changed. The flattened planes changed as trees twisted from the ground and created a forested area, willow trees hung around the small lake they decided to stop at, the air smelled of fresh pine.Lucy stretched her legs while Natsu was perched on a tall tree outlooking the forest, slowly Lucy stripped off her boots and socks walking over to a willow tree by the lake.
"Luce what are you doing?" Natsu asked her curiously,
"Something...."
"Luuuuuuuce"
Lucy made her way to the willow tree and felt the dark, chipped bark.
"Lucy I don't know what your thinking but don't do it" the boy said peering across at her, ignoring his warning Lucy continued to circle the tree till she pulled out a pocket knife slashing a small gash into the tree just big enough to balance her foot on. Quickly tucking her appliance into the holder on her belt, she made no time for Natsu to stop her climbing up the tree.
"Lucy stop!" Natsu jumped down from his tree and made his way towards her. Lucy, now sitting on a branch ten meters above him, smirked.
"Catch me if you can" she yelled downwards as Natsu started to climb the tree believing that it would be more fun to go along in his 'human' form.
But we all know what they say.....
'It's all fun and games till someone gets hurt'
Running along the tree tops, circling the crystal lake. Natsu's jacket flopped around in the gust of wind, momentarily he blinked rubbing his eyes to get out the invisible piece of dirt, when he opened his eyes Lucy was exterminated from his sight, his head moved to the right when the sound of rushing leaves filled his sensitive ears. He swung around, his body facing hers.
In the intense moment Natsu breathed a light sigh and balanced back over to her, just needing a hug but fortune wasn't on his side as she cheekily stuck out her tongue a ran. Following he laughed and ran catching up to her, she turned her head backwards taking in a deep breath.
Crack
It was as if time was slowing down till it cane to a sudden holt, an ear piercing scream, a shattered heart and what would soon would be a broken face. (LOL just thought that would be funny)
In that brief second Lucy disappear for Natsu's sight, falling through the willows leafs.
"NATSUUUUUUUUUUU" Lucy yelled in hope as Natsu dived to save her, there fingers just missed, Lucy slipping out of reach, "LUCYYYYYYYYY" he squinted his eyes wishing it was just a dream, but reality was to cruel he heard a loud thump and the crackle of something falling on the wilted leafs.
His eye shot open at a foreign voice, "got ya just in time hey Lu-Lu".
Natsu was starring down at a young man of average height, distinguished by his delicate facial features and his orange hair. His hair is kept in a mildly short, spiky cut, with spiky strands covering his forehead, and other, longer ones jutting upwards and kept in many more, comparatively larger spikes warped in every direction, with a pair framing his face; due to another pair of strands sitting on top of his head, being vaguely reminiscent of animal ears, the rest of his hair mirrors a lion's mane.
