chapter 1

today after the track meet I met up with chase and we went into town which took about a good 5 hours considering we live in a very secluded area which makes it harder to get into town a lot but we have people bring us down our orders of food for the animals clothes saddles anything that goes with the word horse ranch most of the food we get is grown in one of the certain areas at the ranch there are ten seperate sections there's the big ol' section made specifically for cattle, there's the section where there are a lot of round pens and corrals for the horses or bulls, there's the stables which there's about 10 each holding up to 40 horses why so many you might ask it's because we capture endangered mustangs and stallions or rescues we give them all a home we also break in most of the time horses and sell them at the big sales a couple of times we get a few racehorses that go into claim races to the highest bidder but only sometimes, there's the farming section which takes up a good amount of space where we grow corn potato rice beans squash practically any fruits and vegetables, there's the lake which has a lake house where we rent it out sometimes ,there's the house area ,the area for the machinery example; tractors plows cranes excavators the horse and cattle trailers etc, than theres the dining hall which is smack in the middle in between the first two fields that's mostly where everyone eats because of how we work from dawn to dusk ,there's a lot more areas we also have a separate dude ranch where people come to learn to ride and mount and live a country life for about three weeks. anyways on Friday we get a couple new workers that are good with the cattle rounding and are good breeders so today is Tuesday which gives us three days counting today. hopefully they are all good news i can't hamdle anymore trouble me being done with my job of opening the gates for the cattle to roam and graze for half the day and keeping them in check and then making sure the whole herd of them get back into the big pen that's for the cattle after that i have my time off which is usually around 8pm i get my baby my lifeline my beautiful black and white stallion named spartan and instead of saddling him up today i decide to go bareback and run towards the lake since it was a full moon it will surely look beautiful after spending a couple of hours there i head home and get some sleep waiting for tomorrow
