Jake: Waking up to the sound of screaming girls outside your window was not a pleasant way to get out of bed. I can never get used to the feeling of having a heart attack every morning.

" Wake up sleeping beauty, we have a flight to catch!" Yelled Andy in my ear while walking over to the window opening the curtains. I slowly rose to a sitting position in my bed and looked around the room seeing Kevin and Chris shoving the thing in their suitcase at the last minute. I looked over at the clock on the nightstand beside my bed and it was barely seven o'clock.

I was about to get out of bed when Andy shoved my clothes in my face and told me to get ready. I grumbled my way to the bathroom and started changing into my clothes. A white T-shirt with black ripped skinny jeans was all that I had that was semi-clean, then I started brushing my teeth. I was so tired that I didn't even bother to brush my hair, so I just grabbed a back beanie from my suitcase and put over my messy hair. Walking over to the nightstand I open the drawer and took out a silver chain with a silver cross and a dark blue jewel in the middle attached to it, putting it on.

" Come on guys! We have to be down in the lobby in 5 minutes or Victoria will have our heads!" Yelled Andy from the entrance ready to go. I felt a long chill up my spine just by hearing the name of our manager. Victoria Willson was the most terrifying woman on the planet. If we even come five minutes late to a rehearsal she will beat us to a pulp till our bodies ached the next morning.

With my phone in my pocket and putting on my black designer leather jacket, I grabbed my suitcase and stood next to Andy. Chris and Kevin came stumbling over with their suitcases and ready to go.

" Alright, do we have everything?" Asked Andy. We all nodded

" Are you sure? Kevin do you have your drumsticks?" Kevin pulled out a pair of drumsticks from his back pocket and nodded. Andy then looked over at Chris.

" Do you have your bass?"

" Yeah, I gave it to John to put in the rest of the equipment," said Chris ready to leave the room. Andy then looked at me and I already knew what he was going to say.

" Yes Andy, I have my guitar pick and my guitar is with the rest of the equipment. Dude calm down for a sec." I said patting his shoulder. After the whole checklist runs through we heard a knock at the door. I opened it and there was a bell boy saying he was sent to carry our luggage. we each gave him our luggage and headed for the elevator to go to the lobby where our manager was waiting.

Reaching the grand lobby of the hotel, we headed towards the fancy couch where our manager was sitting looking at her phone.  she looked up and smiled at us.

" It's nice to see that you guys made it on time. I thought I was going to have to drag you guys out of bed." She said putting on her sunglasses. That was our cue to get ourselves ready for the crowds outside.  I put on my dark sunglasses and pulled out a pair of earbuds from my leather jacket and plugged them in my ears.

Listening to my great 90s playlist. As the doors opened immediately screams and flashing lights were surrounding us and our path to get into our limo. Fans with posters in the air and reporters trying to get us to answer their endless questions. Our security guards did their best to push through the crowds of crazed and enthusiastic fans. once we all were inside the limo, we took off like lightning to the airport. Our limo was a little bigger than normal on the right side had bowls and platters of different types of good foods and snacks.

I turned to see the outside of the window and saw the buildings far off in the distance shining brightly as the sun came up. They felt small. An insignificant little area that didn't matter, or have any meaning. I felt a small nudge on my arm and turned taking off my sunglasses.

" Bro I thought you would at least be excited about going to California. It's our last concert before we got to relax in New York. Geez, you're giving off a super depressing mood." Said Andy leaning deeper into his seat. I could tell that Andy was trying to get me excited.

" Don't worry man. I promise that I will enjoy my self." I reassured him.  I looked over at Kevin and Chris, eating their hearts out on the huge amount of chocolate pudding and all the food in the limo. Kevin noticed me looking at him scarf down all the food, he turned to a mini fridge and took out two bottled lemonades. He swallowed down his food and sat down next to me.

" Here. looks like you need it." Kevin handed me the cold lemonade. I popped open the bottle and took a small sip of it. It was a perfect blend of sour and sweet, I remember drinking it when I was a kid on hot summer nights.

" I heard they still sell this lemonade here! Remember we would take a case from mom's basement and go to the beach to drink it all!" Laughed Kevin. I smiled at the memory. Kevin and I were cousins, but we were like brothers that couldn't be separated no matter how hard you tried.

" It will be nice to see aunt Daniela again. Haven't seen her in a while and I really miss her cooking." I said daydreaming of the never-ending plate of my aunts home cooking. Kevin and I were planning on staying at my Aunt's and Victoria said she would tag along with us. Victoria and Aunt Daniela were really good friends after our band contracted Victoria and she was responsible for us from then on. Andy and Chris decided to stay in a hotel that was close to the recording studio so they didn't have to drive and just walk close to the building.

Between our conversations, I didn't notice that we already made it to the airport. We drove straight to the private jet that was waiting for us. When that limo stopped and the door opened, we let Victoria out first and soon we were each shoving each other to get out. Once we all got out of the limo, we climbed up the tall metal case of stairs and entered inside the private plane. Inside the plane had white leather chairs to sit in.

Our plain was big enough to have beds and room in it. Passing through the guys I entered a room with a single bed and a desk in front of it. It was the only other room with a single bed and a desk. we didn't dare touch the other room, that belonged to Victoria for obvious reasons. closing the door I could hear grumbling noises from outside the door. I jumped on the bed laying down and looking up at the ceiling. I thought about the free time I would hope to get and spending time with the family and going to the beach. I closed my eyes and started imagining the time I would run on the beach with my dad and look for shellfish.

I missed those times. Nothing was ever the same since he died, but moving forward was what he told me to do. So why can't I do that now? The images in my head started to get blurrier and darker, I decided to let the darkness consume me and let me forget the ache in my heart.
