Chapter Ten

Deep Deep Snow

*Jelsa*

*Darkness! That was my fear I realised this when I was a child. It had been late everyone was asleep as I desided to see of Elisa was awake. I walked across the hall to my sisters door I knock lightly.Elisa was awake I knew this because she always was up late.

Every so often at night when I was to hyper to sleep I watched Elisa sneak from her room and make her way to the library. I waited patently outside my sisters door it had been a year since she started acting strange.

After awhile with no answer I knocked again. She still didn't answer I had finally decided she was asleep. I made my was back to my room but I stopped at the end of the hallway a black horse stood with gold eyes which I later learned was a Nightmare. At first I stood frozen.

I was ready to use my powers even though I had only had them for a little over 18 months and still was learning to use them very well I was prepared. As I stood there I watched as the castle got darker intill the only thing lighting my way was the moon.

The nightmare let out a weird noise and not to long after evil laughing filled my ears. Fear filled me a felling I wasn't used to this made the nightmare go crazy and charge at me.I had screamed my father rushed out of my parents room and froze the thing. After that I never traveled the halls at night without anyone.

It didn't seem scary to many but to me it was.As I sat in my bed I noticed most of the room was lit by candles.I knew I would have to blow them out but I couldn't bring myself to do so.Maybe I was over reacting but I didn't care Fear was a enemy in my family we didn't do good under fear.

The sound of humming caught my attention the voice I knew well. As I got to my feet I gazed out the window that over looked the garden I could see Elisa walking along the edge of the fountain.  What was she doing?

I quickly ran to my door pausing at my mirror my hair fell wave a little past my shoulders. My hair was not as long as my sisters but I loved it.I quietly made my was down the hall. My feet carefully stepped in the places I knew would not make a creek. I made my way down the steps to the garden.

The wind was cool but it didn't bother me. I skipped to were my sister stood she danced terribly I might add around a small part of the garden. I giggled at her horrible dancing skills her head snapped in my direction. She crossed her arms over her chest and glared.

"What do you want Jelsa?" Elisa snapped.

"Oh nothing couldn't sleep and thought you know maybe we could have some quality sister time!" I tell her.

She rolled her eyes at me and sat down on a nearby bench. She had her hair down and wore a white nightgown like mine but mine was pink.I took a seat next to her looking at the moon up high in the sky I smiled.

"Elisa I missed you" I whispered "We were never close but iwish we were I missed not seeing you around im glad that we finally are aboul to see each other more often"

"I missed you to Jelsa" she assurse me.

I looked at the dieing rose bushes it was getting colder by the day.I love winter but I enjoy spring I loved the flowers expressly the roses.

"Don't worry it will be spring before you know it and there will be enough Roses to fill the castle" Elisa assured me.

' In the roses

In the spring

I remember

There was a time
