Chapter Twenty

A Dream

*Everything seemed to get darker the father we walked.Twilla was on my back she was oddly light but it still was tiring carrying her. Pipper helped carry Roses hair she also carried a book. I didn't ask why she had it because it wasn't my business.

With each turn I fould a longer more shadowy hallway. Sighing I kept going Twilla hummed softly words to a song I never heard.

' Hello my friend

I remember when you were

So alive with your wide eyes to the light

That you had when your heart was stolen

Now you say that it ain't worth stayin' she sung.

Her voice was soft and flowed like water itself.Pipper and Rose hummed a soft melody I sighed coming to another dead end . Turning around I went back down the hall.

Cause somewhere, somebody needs a reason to believe

Why don't you rise up now?' she continued.

I bit my lip finding myself in front of two halls.Thats odd it wasn't there before. Quickly I chose the left one.

Her words echoed through the darkness. Pipper walked ahead now along with Rose I didn't care as long as I could see them.

Big world, Big prison. The walls were coated in black sand and the floor was made of dirt that squished between my toes.Had I made the wrong turn? Panic filled me what was I going to do.In answer to my question I not kept walking.

Oddly like if by luck I seen light at the end of the tunnel. That made me stop the tunnel you see when you die. Shaking my head I laughed at myself your not dead Elisa!
