She has to fight the feeling on the large rounded brush being swept over her face. Sometimes she wants to sneeze when it tickles at her nose but she's had to get used to it over the many years she's had someone else doing her makeup. There's a lot of things Selena Gomez has learned to just get used to in her career.
"You should post a selfie on Instagram before you start shooting." Lillian Parke, one of Selena's PR managers tells her from the other chair across the room. "Tease them but don't let the name of your new single slip."
Selena tries her best not to sigh. She use to be so excited whenever she was about to release a new single from her latest album, but with the not-so positive reactions and reviews to the newest work Selena's nervous about how the rest of her career will now be looked at.
One thing that Selena probably will never get use to with her celebrity status is the hate comments and death threats she receives on a daily basis on all of her social media accounts. There is a lot more love and support from her fans, which always brings a smile to her face, but the negative attacks towards her can instantly make her feel like she's not worth anything. All the work she's put in is all for nothing but someone else to bash. There are some days where she doesn't care about the nasty things people are saying about her. Then there are just the days where she's tired of all of it and wishes she could still be that girl who lives in Texas and nobody knows who she is.
"Do it now before you have to change into the dress." Lillian voices again.
As soon as Selena moves to position herself for an attractive angel, she hears one of the makeup artists let out a harsh sigh. She's supposed to remain still during this process and she's apologetic for not listening to him, but Selena also doesn't want to be pestered by Lillian about posting to her social media when she doesn't really feel like it. It's difficult to have to please two people at the same time.
She looks at herself in the camera that's facing her, seeing all of the makeup layered on her face to hide any imperfections of her actual skin. She's been sitting still for nearly an hour to let the team work on making her appear flawless and beautiful.
"Suck your cheeks in, Miss Gomez. Just need to finish with the blush." The man doing her makeup instructs.
She does, imitating the infamous 'duck face' that's been very popular these past few years. Selena decides it will look good for her post so she presses the side button on her phone to snap the picture.

After she posts the photo to her feed, the comments and likes instantly begin pouring in. She's had to turn off the notifications off of her phone from the constant attention she gets, unless it's from one of her friends or someone she follows.
